14:15 Fakenham (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SHOTGUN RIDER was too keen to do himself justice on his handicap bow when finishing last at Doncaster last month. However, he could leave that effort behind on this much tighter track which places less emphasis on stamina. Bitsnbuckles finished ahead of the selection but appears to be high enough in the handicap, while Painted Wolf completes the shortlist after his recent C&D second.

Coolkatie has potential but preference is for PAINTED WOLF, who ran well over C&D last month and is also still lightly raced.

14:50 Fakenham (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

TRALEE GIRL shaped with plenty of encouragement on her first two hurdle starts behind some useful opposition before not running up to scratch at Doncaster. Down in grade, Dan Skelton's filly has an excellent opportunity to get off the mark in this sphere. Faye Bramley has done particularly well with her juvenile hurdlers this season and it would be no surprise if Whatcombe proved to be the main threat. Cotton Socks heads the remainder.

Placed in two Listed juvenile hurdles in the autumn, TRALEE GIRL has an excellent chance to open her account.

15:25 Fakenham (Class 3) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

SONIGINO wasn't disgraced two starts ago when third at Sandown before his stamina appeared to be stretched in a Pertemps qualifier at Musselburgh last time. Now switched to fences, this looks to be a suitable opportunity to get his head back in front. Walking On Air has the ability to be very competitive in a race of this nature but he hasn't won for over three years. Kilaro goes straight over fences after running in bumpers and has plenty to find.

His two useful rivals have become very inconsistent so it might be worth chancing KILARO, who looked promising in bumpers this season.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Best Women, who has has undergone wind surgery since last seen, and Abbey Law, who tries first-time cheekpieces, are potential improvers to monitor in the betting. Whereas, Callmesusie and the handicap-debutant Four Decades have something to prove after modest recent efforts and might be best just watched. That leaves ANNIE NAIL as the one with the fewest questions to answer. A previous course winner who is on her last winning mark, the consistent nine-year-old can put her her rivals to the sword.

Handicap debutante FOUR DECADES shaped with promise in a 2m novice two starts ago and is a daughter of a stoutly bred 3m winner.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BROTHER BORIS is hard to oppose after two facile wins at this venue. Admittedly, this is tougher than the three-runner event he won over C&D last month. However, he was 21 lengths clear of his nearest pursuer at the line and could again be too hard to reel in from just 2lb higher, with the same 7lb amateur in the plate. Reforme and Cloudy Wednesday have posted comparable form of late and are the most potent threats, in that order of preference.

Good-ground specialist CLOUDY WEDNESDAY (nap) is taken to win this race for the third year in a row.

L'AMANDINE started to get the hang of things late on when she finished third in a similar event at Ludlow on her debut in January. Likely to be wiser and more accomplished, a step forward can see her get off the mark at the second time of asking. Hidden Fortune, a previous point-to-point winner, also posted an encouraging effort on her Rules debut at Market Rasen. She must be taken seriously with progression likely. Crescendo Lady is the pick of the newcomers.

Irish point winner HIDDEN FORTUNE probably didn't have the race run to suit when second on her rules debut and can improve here.
