Havaila

0.12/1(+64%)
(1) Havaila 0.12/1, Fairly useful form on Flat and just about translated that ability to hurdles, running particularly well when 2 lengths third of 13 in ultra-competitive Sandown juvenile hurdle 8 days ago. This looks a golden opportunity for him.
2
2nd (3) Overstate (5/1 +44%)
Overstate

5/1(+44%)
(3) Overstate 5/1, Fair Flat winner, making a winning start for this yard on AW at Kempton (2m) in February. Well held in 2 hurdles around 2m since but too soon to write him off and perhaps the longer trip now will help.
LTO Selection:

13:57 Fakenham Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HAVAILA continues to run well in defeat, most recently when hitting the frame in a decent contest at Ascot. The son of Le Havre sets the standard in these calmer waters and he might not get many better opportunities to shed his maiden tag. Highland Frolic looks best equipped to chase him home if he's turned out quickly following his Plumpton second on Sunday, while Overstate will need to take a step forward on what he's shown so far.

This looks a very good opening for HAVAILA who should get off the mark if in anything like the same form as when placed in a strong Ascot handicap last weekend.

This looks a good opportunity for HAVAILA, who has been in good form in handicaps and sets the standard back in a weak maiden.

(2) Sopran Thor 1.25/1, Ended last term in good form, hitting the crossbar at Fontwell and Huntingdon (awarded the race in the stewards' room at the latter venue). Well held on belated return at Sandown in January and he's not the most assured of jumpers, but obvious claims in this company all the same.

Sir Apollo

(3) Sir Apollo 2.25/1, Both career wins have been registered at Sedgefield, the latest in first-time blinkers over 27f in February. Found just one too good in a 4-runner handicap over the same C&D recently and likely to give it a good shot if coping with this drop back in trip.

Enduring Love

3.5/1(+13%)
(4) Enduring Love 3.5/1, Three-time winner over fences in Ireland and placed first 3 outings for present connections this winter. Well held last time at Huntingdon (23.6f, soft) where he emptied quickly but previous effort there was creditable and not without hope back down in trip here.
|F|
|F| (1) Fancy Foundations (7.5/1 -88%)
Fancy Foundations

7.5/1(-88%)
(1) Fancy Foundations 7.5/1, Back to form third of 10 in handicap chase at Kilbeggan (19f, good) in September on final start for Gordon Elliott. However, pulled up both starts for Jake Coulson and needs to bounce back starting out for another new yard here in first-time cheekpieces.
LTO Selection:

14:32 Fakenham Handicap Chase (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Sir Apollo hit the woodwork over 3m3f at Sedgefield last month and, though he merits the utmost respect, a drop in trip might not play to his strengths. Sopran Thor has the ability to play a leading role, but he will need to jump with more fluency than he has on previous starts. ENDURING LOVE was a disappointing favourite at Huntingdon 26 days ago, but Daire Davis' 7lb claim makes him of considerable interest.

It's hard not to have misgivings about all four of these. In the case of SOPRAN THOR it's his haphazard jumping that is the primary source of concern but he is still the most likely winner. Fancy Foundations arguably has the most to prove and Sir Apollo edges preference ahead of Enduring Love for forecast purposes.

The vote goes to SOPRAN THOR, who looks interesting on his Huntingdon win last spring and represents and a yard in scintillating form.

(5) Rhyme Scheme 28/1, Regressive on the Flat and has yet to better modest form over hurdles.
LTO Selection:

15:07 Fakenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EAST END GIRL finished a creditable second over an extended 2m2f at Market Rasen last month. She weakened late on that day, suggesting a drop in trip would play to her strengths, and a subsequent drop in class ought to further aid her chances. Glance At Me was no match for a progressive rival last time out and she remains of interest, along with Luna Dora.

EAST END GIRL got right back on track under this 10 lb conditional when second at Market Rasen 3 weeks ago and from the same mark she looks the answer. Sawpit Sienna and Luna Dora head the opposition.

6yo LUNA DORA was runner-up at Uttoxeter in her final two runs in the autumn and is a big player if she can pick up where she left off.

Made For You

9/1(-260%)
(2) Made For You 9/1, Scored at Musselburgh in December and return to right-handed track with cheekpieces enabled him to get back on track when second at Market Rasen 3 weeks ago. Blinkers now the headgear of choice back in trip.
LTO Selection:

15:42 Fakenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

THIRTYFOURSTITCHES was a good second in a slightly deeper contest at Wincanton two weeks ago and, having been nudged down 1lb in the ratings, the gelding has a solid chance of coping with top weight in this company. Made For You and Daire Davis teamed up to good effect when they won a conditional riders' handicap at Musselburgh in December and he looks the chief danger. Swaffham Bulbeck competes the shortlist.

SWAFFHAM BULBECK deserves a change of luck and with this step back up in trip sure to suit he can get off the mark for the season. Thirtyfourstitches is the chief threat on the back of an excellent runner-up effort, with Made For You also considered.

Preference is for THIRTYFOURSTITCHES, who is 9-24 over hurdles and bounced back with a good second in a Class 3 event last time.

(3) Boldmere 1.25/1, Understandably looked rusty when returning from 20 months on debut for new yard at Doncaster in December. Looks sure to make a bold bid for the 4-timer.
LTO Selection:

16:17 Fakenham Handicap Chase (Class 2) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Having won three similar races since early February, Cyclop is respected at this level and should be capable of launching another bold bid. However, the relatively lightly-raced SENIOR CITIZEN has the ability to cope at this level and looks worth chancing in his bid to atone for a rare below-par effort at Exeter on his latest start. The form line through Boldmere from his penultimate race suggests Alan King's gelding could take some stopping if he is back on song.

CYCLOP is very much in the winning groove and might be able to confirm last month's Newbury superiority over Boldmere.

The vote goes to the 12yo CYCLOP (nap), who has won his last three and was better than ever with his brave win at Newbury last time.

1.2/1(+26%)
(2) Rebel Dawn Rising 1.2/1, Multiple point winner who showed fair form in this sphere last season. Brough down over C&D 24 days ago and shouldn't be discounted.
LTO Selection:

16:52 Fakenham Hunter Chase (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Janika would hold outstanding claims if back to the form which saw him finish a respectable fourth in a handicap at Ascot in November, but he does have something to prove having since put in a below-par effort at Kempton in December and in a point-to-point in February. With that in mind, FIRAK is the safe play. The eight-year-old romped home at Warwick recently and is evidently on good terms with himself. Twilight Girl is another to note.

FIRAK made a successful return to Rules 11 days ago and if the race doesn't come too soon he should be hard to beat once more. Janika and Rebel Dawn Rising look the main dangers.

The lightly raced 8yo FIRAK was an easy winner of a point and a hunter chase last month and is a big player again in his hat-trick bid.

17:27 Fakenham NH Flat Race (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MISTRAL MILLY shaped with promise when staying on into a never-nearer fourth on her debut at Ascot in February and, with that experience likely to stand her in good stead, Alan King's four-year-old gets the vote. Omaha Wish is also open to improvement having finished third on her Rules bow at Warwick in the same month and she's feared most ahead of Scarlet O'tara, who was recently runner-up in a similar contest at Musselburgh.

MISTRAL MILLY shaped well at Ascot first time out and should improve, so she's preferred to Omaha Wish, while Floating Line looks the pick of the newcomers.

An open race in which the vote goes to the striking newcomer YOUNG AT HEART, whose yard is 3-5 in bumpers here in recent years.
