|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

22/1(-22%) | (5) Mya Du Clos 22/1, Showed greenness and made mistakes when comfortably held in a 4yo hurdle at Newbury last time. Wears a hood for the first time and looks likely to need more time and handicaps. Small step up on second hurdling start; probably capable of better; hood added. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Bumper winner The Procrastinator needs to be considered on her hurdling debut, but the one that appeals most is WHITLETTS. Dan Skelton's charge only found an odds-on shot too good at Ludlow in December and she could have plenty of improvement in her. The booking of James Bowen on Annie's Angel makes her of interest and she completes the shortlist.

Whitletts sets the standard but it's not an insurmountable one and Irish Flat winner ANNIE'S ANGEL is selected to improve past her.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Point winner SEANIECON shaped with promise when filling the runner-up spot at Ludlow last month and is likely to take a step forward. This looks like a good opportunity and the five-year-old can take full advantage. Douglas Hyde brings plenty of experience to the table and has to be respected after his second in a handicap at Haydock in December. Bresiliant can beat Shuile Warrior for third.

Ludlow runner-up SEANIECON is open to progress over hurdles and taken to go one better. Solid Douglas Hyde is feared most.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (9/2 -200%)Kaviar Wood |
9/2(-200%) | (5) Kaviar Wood 9/2, The yard won this race last year. Made too much use of when fourth, beaten 4 1/2l, in a handicap hurdle at Sedgefield last time. Effective at 2m-2m4f on S and GS and may have more to come over fences. In-form contender; still a maiden but looks capable of being involved on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (15/2 +70%)Johnny Boy |
15/2(+70%) | (4) Johnny Boy 15/2, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las on his latest start. Seems effective up to 3m1f on soft or good to soft ground, but needs to find improvement on recent efforts to feature. May show improvement for the switch to fences and return to Hereford. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Hardy Buck bounced back to form when occupying the runner-up berth at Huntingdon and is respected, but he might come out second best to SEASMOKE. The eight-year-old made the frame over an extended 2m3f at Ffos Las last time and will appreciate this step back up in trip. Off a 1lb lower rating, she looks the one to side with. Kaviar Wood is another to keep an eye on.

As regards the contenders who already have chasing experience, HARDY BUCK (nap) is preferred off his mark.

There may be more to come now switched to hurdling. Encouraging second on bumper debut here; look for market support on hurdles debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (6/1 +79%)Kentucky River |
6/1(+79%) | (13) Kentucky River 6/1, Another moderate effort when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle at Lingfield last time. (6) (14/1 +36%)Kingdom Of Stars |
14/1(+36%) | (6) Kingdom Of Stars 14/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. 66/1(-65%) | (4) Golly Gosh 66/1, Ran to a similar level as on debut when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Southwell last time. Looks the type who may show improvement when switched to handicaps. Not much to shout about in a bumper and two maiden hurdles; probably one for handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (80/1 -60%)Moorsbrook |
80/1(-60%) | (11) Moorsbrook 80/1, Produced a modest effort when finishing down the field in a novice hurdle at Warwick last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (200/1 -100%)Silver Gale |
200/1(-100%) | (12) Silver Gale 200/1, Another poor effort when finishing down the field in a novice hurdle at Warwick last time. Has plenty to prove for now and looks in need of more time. Tailed off in both hurdle outings and will be of greater interest once handicapping. |

250/1(-25%) | (8) Nancefordshore 250/1, Did not get home on debut at Chepstow last time, having done plenty early. The trainer is in form and he returns from a short break, but he has yet to show any ability in points or under rules. Pulled up in both Irish points and again when 250-1 for his hurdling debut in December. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The bumper winner GLANCING JACK showed plenty of promise when filling second place on his hurdling debut over C&D a month ago and Tom Symonds' gelding merits the utmost respect on the back of that performance. Lau And Shaz was still in with a big chance when falling four out at Windsor last time and she is an obvious threat. Any market support for Superkap on his debut for these connections would have to be noted.

Glancing Jack and LAU AND SHAZ look the two to focus on, with narrow preference going to Kayley Woollacott's promising mare.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SPRINGTIME LEGEND failed to make an impact when sixth on her handicap debut at Windsor last month, but she should relish this ease in grade. With that in mind, the six-year-old could be hard to beat. Lydeard Girl is likely to appreciate this switch to handicaps and she should not be underestimated, while any market support for Parikarma would have to be noted.

This shouldn't take too much winning and LYDEARD GIRL gets the vote on her first go in a handicap. Springtime Legend drops in grade.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

COPPER COVE was a beaten favourite at Ffos Las over hurdles last month but it wasn't a bad run in second and he could build on that now back over fences. Benignitas also took the silver medal home on her latest start and is expected to be bang there at the business end, while C&D winners Kingcormac and Everyonesacritic also make some appeal.

The market could be interesting but last year's one-two EVERYONESACRITIC & Kingcormac are suggested to fight out the finish again.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (50/1 -178%)Oakley |
50/1(-178%) | (7) Oakley 50/1, Outpaced when dropped in trip and well held at Chepstow last time. Effective over 2m-2m4f on a sound surface, and a step back up in distance looks a plus based on previous form. Won over C&D (good) in November; well held off this mark over 2m next time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KING JON OLIVER looks the one to be on in the finale. A winner at Fakenham on debut for this shrewd stable last month, he could be well treated off 118 now going handicapping for the first time and makes much more appeal than Lucky Bere, who has gone up 7lb for a Wincanton success. Bingoo is another to bear in mind.

King Jon Oliver must be respected on his handicap debut but LUCKY BERE's proven ability on testing ground just earns him the vote.
Ths is the racecard key.
