With ground and fitness worries over From The Clouds, who makes his first appearance in 13 months, narrow preference is for another chasing newcomer in WILLIE SHAKE HANDS. Sam England's charge is race-fit and will appreciate the forecast good going so, providing the larger obstacles don't prove too much, he could record a deserved breakthrough success. C&D scorer Dream Jet and last-start Sedgefield winner Beny Nahar Road are others to note.

Although without a recent run DREAM JET is taken to win his second race over C&D. From The Clouds is interesting on his chase debut.

NOT SURE only found subsequent Midlands Grand National runner-up Tanganyika too good in a 0-130 handicap at Carlisle and he has every chance of going one better now dropped in class off the same mark. Hostile Hotelier boasts a hurdles win at this track and went close to opening his chasing account at Sedgefield. He has also gone unpunished for that effort and warrants respect, while Grand Voyage and River Of Joy can't be ruled out either.

The well-handicapped NOT SURE (nap) made a welcome return to form last time and he is Kerry Lee's only runner on the card.

WALLACE OLINGER made every yard of the running when scoring by 15l lengths between the flags at Dingley last month and he can go one better than his second in this sphere at Leicester in February. Great Notions is a dual point-to-point winner and ought to figure prominently on his hunter chase debut. Amma Lord and Pete The Brief are others to keep an eye on.

The 2025 edition of this historic race can go to WALLACE OLINGER, who dominated a good-ground point from the front last month.

SAINT MALINAS has shown a fair amount of ability in both of his starts under Rules, with his latest effort coming when third at Carlisle. This looks a nice opportunity and the six-year-old can get off the mark. Pike Road is only rated 3lb inferior to the selection and has to be respected back in maiden company, while Dreamings Free is another to watch out for.

This left-handed track should suit Irish point winner SAINT MALINAS who is taken to get the better of Pike Road.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BLAKEY BOY benefited from the application of cheekpieces when springing a 33/1 surprise over C&D last month and the assessor may have been kind to put him up just 5lb. The five-year-old might only need to reproduce that level of form in order to complete a double. Quick Sharpener struck over fences at Bangor on his most recent start and if he transfers that form to this sphere, he ought to have a say. Imperial Data is next best.

In what looks an open event, a chance is taken on AMBASSADOR coming back to winning form off his lenient mark now he's back up in trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CELESTRON STAR got off the mark at Hereford prior to finding a Grade 2 event too much of an ask at Aintree last month. The daughter of Telescope will appreciate this drop into calmer waters and looks the one to beat. Point-to-point winner Delta Blues Belle changed hands for 70,000 pounds in December and needs to be monitored in the market on her debut under Rules. Lipstick Traces is another to note.

One of two to pull a long way clear of the others at Hereford in March, CELESTRON STAR might be good enough to overcome her penalty.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
