LTO Selection:

14:20 Kempton Stakes (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Archie Watson has enjoyed a fruitful start to the new season, and ACTION POINT could provide the Lambourn-handler with another winner. He's related to some smart sprinters and, given his trainer's excellent record with juveniles on the all-weather, he could strike at the first time of asking. It will be interesting to see how Spanish Phoenix fares on debut given his pedigree, while Anfaal is another to consider.

All bar one of these are newcomers, and the market should tell a tale, but DAPPERLING, a £45,000 daughter of Dandy Man, appeals as much as any for Richard Hannon. Archie Watson's Action Point and Andrew Balding's Spanish Phoenix are a couple of other likely sorts.

The betting should provide clues but as things stand ANFAAL is tentatively preferred to Action Point.

Running Lion

1.5/1(+25%)
(3) Running Lion 1.5/1, Confirmed her debut promise in fine style when scoring at Lingfield in August and followed up in equally impressive fashion at Chelmsford City (8f) 6 months ago. She's sure to go on to better things and holds major claims of completing the hat-trick.

Dancing Goddess

2.25/1(+18%)
(1) Dancing Goddess 2.25/1, Dubawi filly who made a winning start by a clear margin at this course (7f, 7/4) back in November. The step up in trip should be no issue and she's seemingly the choice of William Buick.

(5) Rich 8/1, Cracksman filly who made a winning debut in a big field at Newbury (6f) at the end of May. Found things a bit too much of a challenge pitched in at deep end when down the field in Group 2 Rockfel 4 months later but she remains open to improvement.

Rainbow Sky

3.33/1(-48%)
(2) Rainbow Sky 3.33/1, 1,500,000 gns Sea The Stars filly who overcame inexperience to make a winning debut at this C&D (5/6) 5 months ago, leading well inside final 1f. Should make considerable progress with that under her belt so has to be considered.

Ellexis

25/1(-150%)
(4) Ellexis 25/1, Off the mark with plenty in hand switched to all-weather in 10-runner maiden at Lingfield (7f) 7 months ago. She's open to further improvement but could struggle up against some powerful yards for her return.
LTO Selection:

14:55 Kempton Stakes (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

A handful of promising three-year-olds head to post in what looks an open contest, with marginal preference for RUNNING LION. She made her debut in a warm Newmarket maiden last July, before going on to notch up a brace of wins on the all-weather at Lingfield and Chelmsford. She sets the standard with an opening mark of 96 and her superior experience could prove key. Dancing Goddess is the choice of champion jockey William Buick and she could pose the most serious challenge ahead of stablemate Rainbow Sky.

All of these 3-y-o fillies are open to improvement but RUNNING LION was mightily impressive on both outings on the all-weather last year, so John & Thady Gosden's charge is fancied to pick up from where she left off and complete the hat-trick. Charlie Appleby sends out a couple of once-raced course winners in Dancing Goddess and Rainbow Sky and they can chase home the selection in that order.

An interesting race in which RAINBOW SKY can get the better of her equally promising stablemate Dancing Goddess.

(2) Royal Rhyme 4.5/1, Lope De Vega colt who overcame inexperience to make a winning debut fitted with a tongue strap at Thirsk (7f, soft) 7 months ago, leading close home. He's sure to progress with that under his belt and has undergone a wind operation since last seen.

LTO Selection:

15:30 Kempton Stakes (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

SLIPOFTHEPEN could hardly have been more impressive when winning over C&D on his racecourse debut, and the Night Of Thunder colt is fancied to follow up with improvement on the cards. Royal Rhyme left it late to get up over 7f at Thirsk 210 days ago and it would be no surprise were he to progress upped in trip, while any market support for the John Butler-trained Azeezan ahead of his first start should be noted.

It was hard not be taken with how SLIPOFTHEPEN routed his opposition over C&D back in November and with John & Thady Gosden's charge destined for much better things (holds plenty of fancy entries, including in The Derby), he's strongly fancied to make it 2-2. Royal Rhyme made a winning start at Thirsk in September, so he's put forward as the main threat on the back of a breathing operation, with Legend of Leros next on the list.

Legend Of Leros should be winning useful races this year but SLIPOFTHEPEN looked a smart operator here on his 2yo debut.

LTO Selection:

16:05 Kempton Handicap (Class 2) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

SIMPLY SONDHEIM defied a 176-day absence when getting up to win over C&D recently and yet another success may be on the cards for George Boughey's four-year-old. Sir Rumi recently made a pleasing return to action when runner-up at Doncaster and he isn't taken lightly now switched to the all-weather. Capital Theory and Prydwen both have career-high marks to overcome, but they can't be dismissed.

This looks very open but PRIDE OF PRIORY's AW record is an excellent one and with fitness no concern given the yard he represents, he looks the way to go. Simply Sondheim, Capital Theory and Max Mayhem are just a trio of potential threats.

Despite stall 13, SIMPLY SONDHEIM (nap) is selected to complete a quick C&D double under William Buick.

LTO Selection:

16:40 Kempton Listed (Class 1) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

LAUREL was last seen finishing a cracking second in the Sun Chariot at Newmarket in October and she should have too much class for her rivals on her return to action. Life Of Dreams posted some creditable efforts in defeat last season, but she may find this drop in trip to 1m on the sharp side, so a bigger threat may emerge from Sound Angela, who remains unbeaten on the all-weather.

It's hard to look beyond LAUREL, who was impressive when winning novice events on her first 2 starts before going close in the Sun Chariot at Newmarket during the autumn. She possesses the potential to develop into a top filly this season and should have little trouble dispatching with these rivals. Sound Angela and Life of Dreams can fill the places.

It would be disappointing if LAUREL cannot win this and win it well. Sound Angela can prove best of the rest.

LTO Selection:

17:15 Kempton Handicap (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

NAVAL COMMANDER has performed well in defeat over C&D the last twice and looks set for another bold bid. He's only 3lb higher than his last success and could be a safer option than Excel Power, who ran too bad to be true at Newcastle when last seen in January but would have strong claims if back on song. Sir Dancealot continues to slide down the ratings and is beginning to look feasibly treated again.

A tricky contest to unravel despite the small field but with AL MARMAR's latest effort easy to excuse, Andrew Balding's 4-y-o gets the tentative nod to notch a third career victory. Excel Power disappointed on the straight track at Newcastle earlier in the year but he may emerge as the main threat going back round a bend given his run-style, with Austrian Theory completing the shortlist.

The 4yos Austrian Theory and AL MARMAR may be the pair to focus on and Andrew Balding's runner is marginally preferred.

LTO Selection:

17:50 Kempton Handicap (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Prop Forward returns from a layoff and would be a big player if picking up in the same form as when last seen in August, but preference is for the match-fit BADRI. He wasn't beaten far when bidding for a 5f hat-trick at Lingfield last month and shaped as though this step back up in trip would suit when finishing fast that day. Ingra Tor has been running well in defeat, while Fernando Rah can improve for a promising seasonal debut in February.

The vote goes to PROP FORWARD, who lost little caste in defeat when third off this mark in a similarly competitive C&D handicap last August. He didn't enjoy the best of runs that day and should go close granted better luck this time. Stablemate Fernando Rah is in with an each-way shout but bigger threats may be posed by Silver Samurai and Blackrod.

Prop Forward still has unfinished business but DUBAI STATION is still handicapped to win if the cards fall right.
