The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Anzac Day won by an easy five lengths last time out at Newmarket, but that was in October 2023 and it may prove a huge ask to give weight away to all of his rivals on his first start since. Ernst Blofeld caught the eye when third over the mile here and he can go well upped in trip, but MODERN STYLE is preferred. An unraced son of Frankel who cost 900,000gns as a yearling, the Godolphin representative is fancied to strike at the first attempt.

The main form contenders are ERNST BLOFELD, Sword Of Wessex and long-absent Anzac Day.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (13/8 +28%)Okeechobee |
13/8(+28%) | (7) Okeechobee 13/8, Highest-rated runner after Gordon Richards Stakes (G3) win at Sandown on last start, Checkandchallenge behind; had Lion's Pride behind in this race last year; off an absence, but goes well fresh and the form pick Progressive record includes a good second in this race last year; top on ratings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

12/1(+33%) | (3) Crown Board 12/1, Behind Checkandchallenge when fourth in the Fortune Stakes (Listed) over 8f at Sandown last time; steadily progressive; hood first time; first time on Polytrack; others preferred up in trip Very lightly raced; may improve back on AW, being 1-1 in this sphere. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Okeechobee is the best of these on official ratings but he has finished second on both of his seasonal debuts, which has to be a worry for his supporters. Botanical pulled too hard on his return at Doncaster but may be better at this trip and, if he settles, he could get involved, yet TEUMESSIAS FOX might be the one to beat. A record of three wins from four here shows a liking for the track, and with race fitness on his side after a victory in the Rosebery, he has every chance.

Two of the main form contenders have been absent since last April. BOTANICAL and Checkandchallenge are interesting alternatives.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (5/2 +29%)Top Of The Class |
5/2(+29%) | (5) Top Of The Class 5/2, Well backed when scored off 67 here on penultimate start; all three wins at the track; the pick on balance of form back on a track the mare relishes Won well over C&D on penultimate start, confirming that Kempton suits her best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (20/1 -150%)Dramatic Effect |
20/1(-150%) | (6) Dramatic Effect 20/1, Too free and a blowout effort over 9f at Wolverhampton most recently; not proven on the AW, but step back in trip should suit and could outrun her price Turf success last June; lacked consistency afterwards in 2024; not solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (10/3 +52%)Mercury Day |
10/3(+52%) | (1) Mercury Day 10/3, Too free and looked overfaced when beaten 7l in Snowdrop Fillies' Stakes (Listed) here last time; will suit class drop and value selection based on balance of form Stiff task in C&D Listed event on reappearance and this is much more realistic. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(-155%) | (3) Atlantis Blue 14/1, Didn't get a clear run over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; down in trip; squeak at a more suitable trip but well held in all four Kempton starts Has shown best form, including two wins (maiden/handicap; both 1m) last July, on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (50/1 -52%)Twirler |
50/1(-52%) | (7) Twirler 50/1, Below par over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; down in trip returning from a break; a squeak on pick of 2024 form, but unreliable since that early season form Two unconvincing efforts this winter for new stable; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (10/1 -82%)More Than A Feelin |
10/1(-82%) | (4) More Than A Feelin 10/1, Below par beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap here last time; first-time cheekpieces; acts on the track but all wins in Class 5/6 events Three-time AW winner; form dipped last time but mostly consistent otherwise. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Top Of The Class has a good record here with three successes, but she needs a career best off this mark and may have to settle for a place. SKY SAFARI looks a character, but with the Fanshawe team in good form and with two wins from her three starts, she looks the sort to improve as she matures and strengthens. Mercury Day drops in grade after a seventh to Soprano in Listed company and she could also get involved.

Back at Kempton, TOP OF THE CLASS is a solid alternative to the unexposed Sky Safari who commands major respect all the same.

9/1(+18%) | (5) Dancing Magic 9/1, Beaten odds-on favourite in maiden company last start; a chance on past form, but best form over further and others preferred Still a maiden but is well handicapped on best turf form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Ahlain hit the crossbar at Lingfield when last seen and as long as she has wintered well, she may go close again on her return to the fray. However, FOLLOW YOUR HEART went in by a length at Wolverhampton last month and might have been worth more than the winning margin suggests. With William Buick booked, Mark Loughnane's seven-year-old could record a fifth C&D victory. Supreme King completes the shortlist.

The return of blinkers swings the vote in favour of bottomweight NORTH VIEW (nap). Topweight Ahlain is second choice.

8th (8) (20/1 -344%)Cypriot Diaspora |
20/1(-344%) | (8) Cypriot Diaspora 20/1, Three-time winner over 5/6f; not proven on the AW; eyecatching jockey booking on return Fighting chance off current mark provided she transfers turf form back to AW. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Coup De Force made it three wins out of her last four starts at Southwell in November and if she is ready on her return to action, she ought to go close. However, REBEL PATH made the frame at Wolverhampton last month and goes off an unchanged mark. Granted a similar performance and with Jack Dace claiming a handy 7lb, he could be the one to beat. Cypriot Diaspora is another to consider.

Back at Kempton, another chance over this distance is given to the attractively treated GIANT. Hierarchy is second pick.

12th (5) (3/1 +10%)Palmarian |
3/1(+10%) | (5) Palmarian 3/1, Too free and a beaten favourite over 7f on return; first-time hood should help him settle and the yard are in form, but 6f may just be a touch sharp His 7f efforts suggest this drop in trip and first-time hood will suit. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Study Up went from last to first to score on his debut at Salisbury last summer and will have lots more to offer, but it may pay to side with HOODIE HOO. Charlie Hills' three-year-old had Topwarrior back in third when accounting for a subsequent winner at Wolverhampton last month and, judged on his professionalism that day, he is fancied to strike again. Keybaar cost 190,000gns as a yearling and needs to be monitored in the market.

Wolverhampton winner HOODIE HOO looks potentially useful and could well defy a 7lb penalty. Palmarian is second pick.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (9/4 +59%)Lazzar |
9/4(+59%) | (7) Lazzar 9/4, Failed to build on debut when well beaten over 5f on last juvenile start; back up in trip here; could find improvement on this surface on return following a gelding op Showed enough in two soft-ground runs last autumn to suggest he's worth keeping an eye on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (40/1 -21%)Rapper's Delight |
40/1(-21%) | (10) Rapper's Delight 40/1, 135,000 euros Harry Angel gelding; full-brother to Bonny Angel, smart at 5f; dam fair at 6f at 2yo; probably best watched on debut but worth a market check Siblings Bonny Angel and Another Gift improved plenty with racing; may well follow suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (6/1 -9%)Sheriff's Court |
6/1(-9%) | (1) Sheriff's Court 6/1, A heavy-ground winner over 6f on debut in France for Godolphin; interesting on first start for new yard but faces a tough enough task giving weight to the younger horses Won a heavy-ground French maiden last autumn before sold for 60,000gns; market useful. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (7/2 -27%)Fort Augustus |
7/2(-27%) | (5) Fort Augustus 7/2, Well backed but beaten 4l in a nursery here on last start; in good form prior to that; slight concerns as a beaten favourite last twice, but is on the shortlist following gelding op Well drawn on his comeback from six months off, having been gelded; helps set the standard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (200/1 -203%)Miss Chester |
200/1(-203%) | (11) Miss Chester 200/1, Ribchester filly; half-sister to J R Cavagin, very useful at 5f as 2yo; dam useful at 8f; tough enough task on debut Trainer not noted for 3yo newcomers and she's likely best watched from a wide stall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (33/1 -32%)Atmosphere |
33/1(-32%) | (3) Atmosphere 33/1, £40,000 Advertise gelding; half-brother to Kyng Ellie, poor at 8f as 2yo; looks an unlikely winner on debut Gelded £40,000 yearling who's the third foal of an unraced mare; market the best guide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (13/2 -8%)Haazeez |
13/2(-8%) | (6) Haazeez 13/2, Poorly drawn beaten 3 1/2l in a maiden at Newbury last start; usually consistent; first race on the AW; in the mix on return following gelding op Didn't progress last season; has been gelded ahead of this return from seven months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (33/1 -633%)Chilly Breeze |
33/1(-633%) | (2) Chilly Breeze 33/1, Won a Nottingham maiden over 5f when last seen; returns off a long absence but has a top jockey booked, should suit the step up in trip and is respected On the go early last spring; Oisin Murphy is a positive booking back from a year off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (6/1 +57%)Pantani |
6/1(+57%) | (9) Pantani 6/1, Unseated and very green 7f at Newbury on debut; returning from long layoff; back in trip; best watched 125,000gns yearling; half-brother to four winners; unseated early on debut last summer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (33/1 -313%)Nacho Nacho Nacho |
33/1(-313%) | (8) Nacho Nacho Nacho 33/1, Green when third in a Nottingham maiden on debut; could provide some value as was doing best work late when the penny dropped Shaped fairly after a slow start on recent turf debut; needs a better break from stall 11. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It will be interesting to see how French debut winner Sheriff's Court fares on his stable bow and, despite a 7lb penalty, he warrants respect. However, NACHO NACHO NACHO boasts a recent run after his third at Nottingham earlier this month and the son of Bungle Inthejungle appeals as the most solid option. Fort Augustus and Haazeez recorded some useful juvenile form last year and aren't easily dismissed.

Haazeez and FORT AUGUSTUS boast similar profiles, both having been gelded after a few costly losses, the latter shading preference.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (11/8 +69%)Believitanducan |
11/8(+69%) | (6) Believitanducan 11/8, Ideally suited by the trip when scoring at Beverley in July last season; two wins from three runs over hurdles subsequently; in the mix on Polytrack debut Won a couple of juvenile hurdles; relatively unexposed on the Flat; goes on the shortlist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (9/1 +68%)Moel Arthur |
9/1(+68%) | (4) Moel Arthur 9/1, Didn't get a clear run at Southwell last time; each-way possibilities back up in trip over a C&D that suits Has run well over C&D before but others have more pressing claims back from a short break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (40/1 -344%)French Martini |
40/1(-344%) | (9) French Martini 40/1, Off the mark when landing an amateur handicap over 2m1f on first start off a wind op last time; may find this tougher on return and not proven on the all-weather 11-1 for the the voided Lingfield 0-60 handicap on her return 24 days ago; market useful. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (13/2 +7%)Grey Fox |
13/2(+7%) | (2) Grey Fox 13/2, The veteran has thrived on this track since upped to this 2m trip; a winner off 68 here last time, he's not out of it off a 4lb rise Spent most of career racing at around 1m; won well on comeback over 2m here last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (11/2 -10%)Cinnodin |
11/2(-10%) | (1) Cinnodin 11/2, A winner off 72 here last time out; up 3lb for that and in the mix over a C&D that suits Two wins and a second from three runs over C&D; this mark is within range for in-form yard. |

7th (10) (50/1 -150%)Blenheim Lad |
50/1(-150%) | (10) Blenheim Lad 50/1, Beaten favourite at Southwell last time; in good form prior to that at the track over 1m6f; back up in trip here; not proven on Polytrack Not achieved much in three runs on Polytrack; needs career-best back from five months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (22/1 -120%)Alex The Great |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (9/2 -35%)Legacy Power |
9/2(-35%) | (7) Legacy Power 9/2, Well below form off a long absence when a beaten favourite here last time; top course jockey/trainer combination; contender if back to last season's C&D form Market spoke his way on comeback and that has to go down as disappointing; bit to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|RR| (3) (14/1 +13%)Tradesman |
14/1(+13%) | (3) Tradesman 14/1, Refused to race at Wolverhampton last time; up in trip; that last development is concerning, as is the fact that all his wins have come at Chelmsford, and all in 2023 Capable off this mark but a lot will hinge on his mood and how he handles the stalls. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GREY FOX looked as good as ever when landing the spoils over C&D last month. The eight-year-old is entitled to build on that first appearance for 147 days and a 4lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent him from following up. Believitanducan arrives on the back of a juvenile hurdle victory at Stratford and he's feared most on his Polytrack debut, ahead of recent track-and-trip winner Cinnodin.

Only 2lb higher than when closing out last Flat season with a win, BELIEVITANDUCAN remains open to improvement over this sort of trip.
Ths is the racecard key.
