125/1(+38%) | (12) Ponderosa Lady 125/1, Well beaten in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Bellewstown only start; plenty more needed 80-1 and beaten 38l on debut at Bellewstown six days ago, may need more time. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (400/1 -60%)Keep It Together |
400/1(-60%) | (10) Keep It Together 400/1, No worthwhile form in bumpers; all to do and likely outclassed on hurdle debut Heavy defeats last two bumpers, lacks a recent run, opposable on hurdles debut. |

Runner-up on both starts to date, the John Ryan-trained EYE OF A TIGER can gain a first success. Versatile regarding trip, the five-year-old finished second over this distance on her racecourse debut before stepping up three furlongs when again taking minor honours last time. In receipt of weight from the previous winners, the daughter of Lauro appears to have leading claims. A bumper winner at this track, the Gavin Cromwell-trained Kabylia looks a serious threat. Placed over hurdles and in a point-to-point, the mare has already shown a decent level of ability. Mile End and hurdling newcomer Kenisa Sport are also worthy of consideration in a competitive race for the grade.

Course bumper winnerKABYLIA shaped with promise on her sole start over timber at Sligo and may make that experience count

9/1(+18%) | (7) Mickey Cohen 9/1, Not stay comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Wexford last time; usually consistent; off a short-break; bit to find Improved effort on h'cap debut off 104, 3m too far latest, not discounted down in trip. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (11/2 0%)Irina's Path |
11/2(0%) | (2) Irina's Path 11/2, Probably needed race fourth beaten 19l in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Sligo latest; off a short-break; inconsistent; may contend if bringing best 0-6 but has run well in defeat including here, may have needed latest, major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (10/1 -11%)Saint Peregrine |
10/1(-11%) | (4) Saint Peregrine 10/1, Ran to form on chase debut, not given a hard time fourth beaten 14l in a novice chase over 2m4f at Tipperary latest; progressive over hurdles prior; cheekpieces first time; danger Best runs have come at Sligo, ground too soft latest, place chance; cheekpieces go on. |

Although he has a bit to find on official ratings, SAINT PEREGRINE could be worth chancing. Twice runner-up over hurdles to date, the six-year-old looks open to improvement after just the seven career starts. Perhaps the application of first-time cheekpieces can help him open his account in this very winnable contest. Point-to-point winner Half Past Tipsy has already shown a fair degree of promise since switching to racing under Rules. Upped in trip with a first-time tongue-tie, she is certainly one to keep a close eye on. Sugar Cookie has yet to replicate her debut run for previous connections, but it is far too early to write her off.

IRINA'S PATH has run well at this track before and he should come on plenty for his latest run when fourth at Sligo

2nd (2) (4/1 -60%)Ad Caelum |
4/1(-60%) | (2) Ad Caelum 4/1, Travelled, improved up in trip out-battling runner up scored by a head off 108 over 3m here three starts back; would've won but for falling last time; usually held up; not out of it but needs stiff test down in distance 3-16 over hurdles, won over 3m here in May, led when unseating at the last latest, claims. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (7/2 -5%)Boston Rajj |
7/2(-5%) | (3) Boston Rajj 7/2, Yard won this last year; keen, travelled, comfortably, improved up in trip landing a handicap by 9 1/2l off 105 over 3m2f at Sligo penultimate start; found 2m1f too sharp last time; can make amends up in trip Won 3m2f h'cap at Sligo last month, good effort over 2m2f in novice latest, more to come. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (12/1 -20%)Tingarran Express |
12/1(-20%) | (8) Tingarran Express 12/1, Ran to form 4 1/2l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Tramore most recent run; consistent; looks vulnerable in this grade Won off 4lb lower at Clonmel in March, not a bad effort at Tramore latest, more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (25/1 +38%)Miss Dishy |
25/1(+38%) | (7) Miss Dishy 25/1, Outpaced, below form on chase debut, not given a hard time down the field in a beginners chase chase over 2m6f at Roscommon most recent; generally out of form; cheekpieces first time; needs to improve Course bumper winner, lost form since Limerick maiden hurdle win, cheekpieces tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (13/2 -63%)Fast Felix |
13/2(-63%) | (6) Fast Felix 13/2, Travelled, ran to form, out-battled and possibly outstayed late up in trip beaten 1/2l off 105 over 2m4f at Listowel last time; vulnerable on these terms Good effort in second h'cap on latest, up 4lb but should go well again dropped in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (7/1 -110%)Oh So Charming |
7/1(-110%) | (4) Oh So Charming 7/1, Hampered last, improved up in trip scored by a short-head off 109 over 2m4f at Clonmel penultimate start; seventh beaten 8 1/4l off 75 last time on flat; progressive in this sphere; contender Dual-purpose, won at Clonmel last month, just 2lb higher now, can't be discounted. |

In front when unseating at the last here recently, AD CAELUM can gain compensation. While that race was over an extended three miles, the mare is a versatile sort who has won over shorter in the not-too-distant past. Dropped markedly in grade here, the six-year-old should be difficult to beat. Successful on her penultimate visit to this track, the daughter of Cloudings is proven around the tight bends. Gordon Elliott's consistent gelding Boston Rajj is sure to be on the premises once again. A winner at Sligo last month, the seven-year-old finished runner-up either side of that. Course winner The Dasher Conway is another who holds every chance of being involved at the finish.

FAST FELIX was reeled in late on at Listowel over further last time out and he may be able to get off the mark dropped back in trip

10th (7) (14/1 +58%)Star In The Park |
14/1(+58%) | (7) Star In The Park 14/1, Keen, below form down in trip comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Tipperary last time; plenty to find back over fences 0-4 over hurdles, yet to trouble the judge, makes h'cap hurdle bow, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (33/1 +18%)Indy Rules |
33/1(+18%) | (9) Indy Rules 33/1, Mistakes, still green well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Limerick latest; needs to improve Dropped 4lb after modest effort on h'cap debut, lacks a recent run, probably best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (14) (25/1 +11%)Noriska De La Mare |
25/1(+11%) | (14) Noriska De La Mare 25/1, Probably wanted further down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Tramore most recent; usually consistent; returning from long layoff; bit to find Remote third here in June 2024, off since heavy Tramore defeat last August, hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (25/1 -79%)Bearami Creek |
25/1(-79%) | (2) Bearami Creek 25/1, Below par down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Sligo most recent; needs to get back to level of debut form to figure on handicap bow H'cap debutante, form of Ballinrobe third hasn't worked out, watch unless money comes. |

While almost certainly a better chaser, FREDDIE ROBDAL is hard to get away from here. A three-time winner over fences, the Henry De Bromhead-trained gelding was successful at this venue on his penultimate start. Rated 16lb lower back over hurdles, the eight-year-old has to be respected. Despite having a somewhat mixed career over flights, the son of Valirann did manage to reach the frame on three occasions and, on a track where he is already a winner, it might be worth giving him another chance. Bestaline had rather lost her way under Rules before being reignited in point-to-points. It will be interesting to see if she can transfer that back to the track. Minority Interest is another to consider.

MINORITY INTEREST is less exposed than most in this field and could be the one to be on if fit after his absence.

10/3(+56%) | (10) Bringsty 10/3, Travelled well when scored on flat by 1 1/4l off 64 over 9f at Gowran Park three starts back; found little for pressure, ran to form seventh beaten 8 1/4l off 94 last time; in the mix Just ordinary handicap debut run at Perth last month; others with stronger claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (50/1 -52%)On The Gandy Hop |
50/1(-52%) | (12) On The Gandy Hop 50/1, Disappointing handicap debut down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Tramore most recent; inconsistent; others preferred Only fifth start hurdling here so open to improvement but probably best watched for now. |

An impressive winner at this track in September, LOUP DE TALLANE can record a second course victory. Third at Wexford on his reappearance last month, the Eoin Griffin-trained gelding is sure to be sharper for that run. Connections may have had this meeting in mind for the nine-year-old given his previous success here. The Noel Kelly-trained Bringsty has to be of interest on just his second start in handicap company. A five-time winner on the level, the gelding shaped with promise when mid-division at Perth last time. Telnobody and To The Wire are interesting contenders for Ross O'Sullivan and Philip Rothwell respectively.

Not too many appeal but the 5yo TELNOBODY is progressing nicely and could be the one to be on

Runner-up here last month, the Mark Fahey-trained BIGIRA can go one better. The six-year-old mare stayed on well to take minor honours after the final flight and it would be no surprise to see Thomas O'Connor make plenty of use of her proven stamina on this occasion. A winner over fences at Roscommon recently, Ardfert Mary reverts to hurdles off 2lb lower than her revised chase rating. Despite failing to score in 17 previous attempts at this discipline, she arrives in winning form. County Champs, who has been getting closer to a breakthrough success, has to be considered for trainer Brian McMahon.

Recent C&D second BIGIRA can go one better and confirm the form with third-placed Southgate Avenue

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

It is surely significant that Willie Mullins runs just SPANISH HARLEM in one of the bigger races of the summer. Fourth in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown in April, the seven-year-old registered a first win over fences when reverting to novice company at Punchestown last month. The fact that the champion trainer has elected to run only the one horse here suggests that connections must feel the gelding is well handicapped. A winner over hurdles here earlier in his career, Amirite was runner-up in this contest last year and Henry De Bromhead is sure to have targeted a repeat bid with the nine-year-old. Lightly-raced chaser Buddy One is very interesting on his handicap chase debut.

Loads with chances, including last year's second and third Amirite and Tullybeg but value may be had in CADATHARLA

13/8(+68%) | (5) No Time To Wait 13/8, Jumped left travelled, returned to form down in grade and trip in first time cheekpieces second beaten 1 1/4l in a novice chase at Punchestown latest; chance Recent Punchestown second over this trip puts him right in the mix. |

3rd (2) (15/8 +84%)Dartan |
15/8(+84%) | (2) Dartan 15/8, Slowly away down the field in a handicap over 2m at The Curragh most recent; top jockey back on board; useful hurdler; longer trip a plus; in the mix 139-rated hurdler hard to assess back chasing but can't be ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (15/2 +63%)Golden Temple |
15/2(+63%) | (3) Golden Temple 15/2, Slowly away down the field in a handicap over 2m at The Curragh most recent; bit to find and stamina concerns up in trip on chase debut 122-rated hurdler; poor recent efforts so hard to be confident in on chase debut. |

In a race where Willie Mullins has three strong contenders, it is surely significant that Paul Townend has opted for YOU OUGHTA KNOW. A smart bumper horse, connections wasted little time over hurdles, switching the gelding to fences after just the three starts over the smaller obstacles. An early casualty on his chasing debut at Tipperary in May, the seven-year-old ran a big race when second at this track last month. Granted normal improvement, he should be hard to beat. With an official rating of 130, No Time To Wait sets a fair standard. Highly tried on occasion, the Walk In The Park gelding is a smart sort when at his best. Topgun Simmy can also make his presence felt.

Providing he stays, YOU OUGHTA KNOW (nap) can go one better than last month here
Ths is the racecard key.
