TORTURED SOUL is in the form of his life at present and the five-timer looks very much on the cards following another taking success at Kempton last week. Tony Carroll's charge should have too much for Grigio, who is still a leading contender after getting off the mark at the Sunbury circuit last month. Militry Decoration and Oyamal are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

TORTURED SOUL has been one of the most progressive horses on the AW this year and, having quickened to score with something in hand at Kempton 8 days ago, he's an obvious choice to extend his winning sequence to five. Grigio also arrives at the top of his game and looks the obvious threat, while Win Win Power is an interesting one upped in trip.

Winning machine TORTURED SOUL has thrived since joining Tony Carroll and can complete a five-timer, having done it cosily last time.

CASTLE IN THE SAND improved as the season went on last year and this looks like an ideal opportunity on his first start as a three-year-old. The son of New Approach sets the standard on form and is preferred to Invincible Aura and Blake, who was slightly unlucky when not getting a clear run and finishing third at Kempton back in October. Corrales and Memories Maker cannot be ruled out either.

CASTLE IN THE SAND matched his previous best (fairly useful form) when runner-up on his final start at 2 yrs at Brighton in October and he could be the one to side with on return/making his AW debut. Invincible Aura returning for the in-form Marco Botti yard, and Corrales head up the dangers. Blake rates another likely improver now embarking on his 3-y-o campaign.

Corrales can go well upped in trip but BLAKE is fancied to build on his two promising runs last autumn.

A comfortable winner when getting off the mark at Wolverhampton in January, INNER TEMPLE remains unexposed and could be well treated off a mark of 76 on his handicap debut. Archie Watson's charge has been gelded since that run and he gets the vote ahead of Newcastle scorer Daring Legend and Flag Carrier, who must be noted on his first start for Brian Toomey. Drama ended his two-year-old campaign with a highly creditable fourth in a valuable auction race at Newmarket so has to enter the reckoning.

SMART VISION had plenty in hand when making a winning handicap bow at Newcastle 4 weeks ago so can defy a 3 lb rise. Runaround Sioux has a similar profile to the selection so is feared most ahead of Daring Legend and Inner Temple.

This looks open, with half the field having won last time. DARING LEGEND impressed over 6f recently and gets the vote back at 7f.

Rocklyn was never in contention in a maiden over C&D in January but based on her first two starts, she could have a say on her handicap bow off a rating of 57. However, it's hard to get away from MEDICI PASS' impressive four-length victory over 7f at Newcastle on her first outing for the Iain Jardine stable. The daughter of Raven's Pass remains in the same grade and can defy her penalty to record a double. Neptune Legend should remain competitive off his mark and fight it out for the minor honours.

MEDICI PASS got off the mark in emphatic fashion on her first start for Iain Jardine at Newcastle last week and will take a bit of stopping under a penalty if turning up in similar form. Locked N' Loaded had little go right at Wolverhampton last time and is second choice ahead of Van Zant.

There's no strong temptation to see past the easy Newcastle winner MEDICI PASS, who looks to have turned a major corner.

Mine That Ship made a highly encouraging start to life in the care of Michael Wigham when hitting the crossbar over 6f at Chelmsford, and she could get involved now up in trip off an unchanged rating. However, URBAN DANDY overcame interference at a vital stage over C&D to just get touched off recently. The son of Dandy Man is able to compete off the same mark and could prove very hard to beat with a clearer passage. Meng Tian and Handel are others to consider.

URBAN DANDY looked unlucky when just failing to get up over C&D last time and should take a bit of stopping off the same mark if showing up in similar form. Handel needs things to drop right the way he's ridden but can go close off his mark if they do. Meng Tian and Mine That Ship are others who should have a say in a competitive race for the level.

This can go to URBAN DANDY (nap), who was having his first crack at 7f when denied a clear run and short-headed over C&D 11 days ago.

LIL WADE hit the line well for fourth over 5f here off a mark of 50 last week and he now tries classified company for the first time in his career. Scott Dixon's four-year-old is joint top-rated with four others in this contest, but that most recent run just gives him the edge. Catherine Chroi was only denied by a head at this level at Newcastle and it would be no surprise to see her get into contention once more. Fantasy Navigator is also a player.

CATHERINE CHROI made a promising return when narrowly denied at Newcastle 6 days ago and she can go one better making only her second start back with Iain Jardine. The main danger could be Lil Wade, who shaped as if he should benefit from going back up to 6f when fourth here last week, ahead of Fantasy Navigator.

A few possibles but CATHERINE CHROI is fancied to go one better than at Newcastle last week.

ADMIRABLE LAD won a similar contest over this distance at Chelmsford three weeks ago and the six-year-old is hard to oppose on the back of that performance. Hard Solution was a close third in handicap company on his most recent outing and he should not be underestimated as a result, while Higher Law and Bama Lama are others who make the shortlist.

ADMIRABLE LAD resumed winning ways in a similar contest at Chelmsford last month and sets the standard on that form. Higher Law is a long-standing maiden but his recent form over this trip is better than the 5f he raced at here last week, so should give a good account, whilst Hard Solution also merits respect after getting little luck in-running last time.

Higher Law and Admirable Lad are serious players but perhaps HARD SOLUTION can build on the promise of his latest run.

NEY was an impressive winner over C&D two starts ago and he was third off this mark at Newcastle subsequently. The Danny Brooke-trained six-year-old clearly remains on a workable rating and just gets the vote ahead of Young Endless, who scored over 1m6f at this venue earlier in the month and has since switched yards. Others to consider are Zephlyn, Prince Abu and Stolen Encounter.

Last month's C&D winner NEY ran another solid race when third at Newcastle and might be able to resume winning ways back here. Zephlyn is another who arrives at the top of his game and can fill the forecast spot ahead of last month's 1¾m course scorer Young Endless and Archie Watson's Stolen Encounter.

This can go to NEY who was a convincing winner of his first C&D start last month and can prove suited by the return to this track.
Ths is the racecard key.
