2/1(+20%) | (1) Apollon Forlonge 2/1, Showed up well for a long way when third, beaten 6l, in a juvenile hurdle at Exeter on debut. Effective at 2m, acts on good to soft, and should improve slightly with that experience. Only four ran when third at Exeter but showed enough to seriously consider here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/8 -8%)No Boundaries |
13/8(-8%) | (4) No Boundaries 13/8, Travelled well on a promising debut when fourth, beaten 3 1/2l, in a juvenile bumper at Exeter. Trainer in form and returns after a short break; represents value on overall form. Not beaten far in an Exeter bumper and the winner has impressed since then. |

9/4(+32%) | (3) Navarau 9/4, 62,000 euros breeze-up purchase by Goliath Du Berlais; bred to handle any ease in the ground; worth following in the betting. The only runner without experience but would be interesting if there's money about for him. |

28/1(-12%) | (2) Darlson 28/1, Outpaced and modest on debut, well beaten in a juvenile bumper at Huntingdon on his only start. Has a lot to find. Only 11-1 for a Huntingdon bumper (good to soft) but never emerged from the rear. |

80/1(-100%) | (6) Knowstone 80/1, Outpaced and modest on debut when well beaten in a mares' hurdle at Leicester on her only start. May appreciate a trip beyond 2m in time. 20-1 and trailed home a well-beaten last on soft ground at Leicester only 11 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (18/1 -227%)Detroit Bay |
18/1(-227%) | (5) Detroit Bay 18/1, Promising debut, just tiring late on when fourth, beaten 5l, in a juvenile bumper at Wincanton. A contender. Posted a modest RPR of 73 when beaten 5l in a bumper at Wincanton (good). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There was a good word for El Fabiolo's half-brother NO BOUNDARIES on his introduction at Exeter and although he could only manage fourth behind a stable companion who has won again since, there was enough encouragement in the display to warrant him a second chance. Apollon Forlonge made a decent start to his career at the same circuit, but Navarau cost 62,000 euros and David Pipe's newcomer is feared more.

Although he failed favourite backers in his bumper, El Fabiolo's half-brother NO BOUNDARIES shaped with a nice bit of promise.

9/1(+0%) | (3) Guardami Ancora 9/1, Improved from debut when second, beaten 8 1/2l in a novice hurdle at Hereford last time; effective at 2m on good ground; needs to progress again. Questionable what he achieved when no match for a short-priced favourite at Hereford. |

33/1(+34%) | (11) Run Away Joe 33/1, Unseated in a maiden hurdle at Ludlow last time; well fancied for his sole bumper start and likely to show more over hurdles, possibly over further. Ran well but was on the retreat when unseating at Ludlow; there should be better to come. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (13) (66/1 -100%)Walk In The West |
66/1(-100%) | (13) Walk In The West 66/1, Needed the run on bumper debut when down the field in a novice hurdle at Exeter most recently; effective at 2m; has plenty to prove over hurdles. Cost 80,000euros but it's been a very quiet start under rules. |

250/1(-25%) | (4) Hannibal Bogan 250/1, Green and poor on hurdle debut when well beaten in a novice at Exeter on only start; effective at 2m; likely to need more time. 400-1 and beaten nearly 30l in a 2m novice on good to soft at Exeter. |

125/1(-56%) | (2) Enzos Angel 125/1, Found little when beaten 9l in a handicap at Southwell last time; dual flat winner is difficult to fancy on hurdle debut. Limited dual winner on the Flat and readily opposed on this switch to hurdling. |

200/1(-203%) | (9) Professor Peppy 200/1, Outpaced and modest on debut when well beaten in a bumper at Chepstow on only start; faces a stiff task. Tailed off in a Chepstow bumper and he was weak in the betting at 40-1. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Harry Fry went to 78,000 pounds to snap up Stanners Glen after the point-to-point winner made a successful debut under Rules in a Tipperary bumper. He could be a decent prospect, but MORRADI showed Flat ability on the continent and David Pipe's new recruit might have a touch more speed. Is This For Real has hurdling experience on his side, although he does need to step forward from that Market Rasen fourth. Knock Off Soxs is another to consider.

The 5yo IS THIS FOR REAL has shown he can win races and his fourth on hurdling debut came against respected opposition.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (9/2 +55%)Rukaana |
9/2(+55%) | (6) Rukaana 9/2, Ran to form when second, beaten 5l, in a handicap at Southwell last time; touch unlucky in this sphere in spring and looks a threat if in the same form here. Ahead of Gms Prince in May; has been ticking over nicely on the Flat latterly.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (9/1 +73%)Nobody Told Me |
9/1(+73%) | (9) Nobody Told Me 9/1, Made too many errors and had too much to do when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (22/1 -214%)Getarose |
22/1(-214%) | (2) Getarose 22/1, Ran to form when second, beaten 13l, in a maiden hurdle at Hereford last time. Related to useful performers up to 2m4f and with her latest run franked, she's a strong contender. Ran into a potentially useful one at Hereford latest; handed a tough opening mark.. |

28/1(+30%) | (10) D'gesteevo 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Windsor last time; should prove effective around 2m4f but has plenty to prove at present. Mark finally looks more realistic; still risky following non-completions last three runs.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PREMIER was a disappointing even-money favourite when only third on his handicap hurdle debut at Plumpton, but he will improve as he picks up experience and can put the record straight now encountering more testing conditions. Getarose steps outside of maiden company and an initial rating of 97 definitely seems workable. Exactly Right is another going handicapping for the first time off a nice mark, with Gms Prince and Rukaana a couple more to consider.

Thankyouandplease won stylishly yesterday. Value for closer last time and edging down the weights, ST LUKES CHELSEA gets the vote.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (5/2 +72%)The Magus |
5/2(+72%) | (7) The Magus 5/2, Outpaced but returned to form on chase debut when 15l third in a handicap chase at Hereford last time; effective at 2 1/2m on good ground and may improve for further over fences. 15l third on his chase debut and his jumping could be sharper here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (18/1 -112%)Lahinch Wave |
18/1(-112%) | (4) Lahinch Wave 18/1, Outpaced and never threatened when fourth beaten 23l in a handicap chase at Huntingdon last time; cheekpieces first time; stays 3m and acts on good ground; well handicapped on hurdle form and can do better if ridden more positively. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (4/1 +20%)Smugglers Haven |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (7/2 -27%)Below The Radar |
7/2(-27%) | (2) Below The Radar 7/2, Travelled well and ran to form before flattening out late when 9l third in a handicap hurdle at Kempton on latest run; point form suggests there will be more to come in this sphere; in the mix. Capable hurdler and there could be improvement in him over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (5) (50/1 -669%)Of Course You Can |
50/1(-669%) | (5) Of Course You Can 50/1, Scored by 1/2l off 100 at Ludlow on her penultimate start; outpaced and below form off a revised mark when sixth beaten 55l off 104 last time; open to marked improvement now chasing but needs it. Dual hurdle winner but poor last time; it's hard to be confident on this chase debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Smugglers Haven will have her supporters and rightly so given she ended a run of second-placed efforts when scoring last time out at Cheltenham. She makes plenty of appeal, as does Below The Radar, but BERTIE WOOSTER gets in at the bottom of the weights and could be the way to go. If building on his latest neck second over track and trip, Joe Tizzard's gelding would have a great chance.

Cheltenham winner SMUGGLERS HAVEN (nap) remains on a competitive despite his solid start over fences. Bertie Wooster is next best.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (66/1 -65%)Doctor Glide |
66/1(-65%) | (7) Doctor Glide 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Fontwell last time; effective over 2m; an unreliable maiden in Ireland with plenty to prove for his new yard. Ex-Irish maiden who has been pulled up in last two starts and needs a major revival. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

MELTON MOSSY refused to race at Ludlow so comes with risk attached, but either side of that he produced a solid second at Ffos Las and won last time out over C&D. James Bowen is a positive jockey booking and Evan Williams' gelding gets the nod ahead of Just A Rose, who was deemed good enough for the Grade 2 Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March. Anyharminasking is noted too.

6yo MELTON MOSSY resumed his progress with a comfortable win over C&D two weeks ago and he gets the vote ahead of Him Malaya.

11/1(-69%) | (7) Inchagoill Lady 11/1, Ran to form when finishing second, beaten 10l, in a handicap hurdle at Hereford last time. Has a bit to find back over fences where she is yet to convince. 10l second at Hereford; needs more and this drop in trip doesn't look a positive.. |

CHIEF O'HARA is one of two C&D winners in here and was really impressive in achieving that last time. There should be more to come from him over fences and it's going to take a big performance to deny him another victory. McGrath From Clune won at Hereford and then produced another solid effort in defeat at Newcastle, so heads the list of dangers from Chestnut Pete.

An open handicap. CHIEF O'HARA took a sizeable step forward here two weeks ago and he's unexposed.

SQUARE DU ROULE arrives here in good nick and looks the safe play in a trappy handicap hurdle for punters to solve. He was back to form when second at Plumpton and went one better at Exeter last time, and is worth sticking with while he's evidently on good terms with himself. Hardy Buck was impressive when scoring at Exeter last week and heads the list of dangers from Knightsbridge.

The longer trip and booking of James Bowen can help ELUSIVE KNIGHT improve past Exeter scorers Square Du Roule and Hardy Buck.
Ths is the racecard key.
