The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

THE UBERMENSCH has progressed with each start to date and was last seen finishing third here over 7f at the end of February. Now making his handicap debut, Michael Bell's charge appeals most with the likelihood of more to come. King Of Speed should prove to be happier back on the all-weather following his latest outing at Doncaster, while others to note include River Wharfe and Lessay.

King Of Speed is a contender. However, with Conor Whiteley to assist, Saturday's C&D winner COLOANE can potentially go in again.

PERSHAADA boasts a speedy pedigree, with her dam being a Listed winner as a juvenile, and is closely related to Woodcote winner Teej A. Richard Hannon is already on the board with his two-year-olds this season having won the Brocklesby and she gets the vote to make a winning debut. Amber Ocean cost 70,000 euros at the Arqana yearling sale and commands respect along with Lover Girl.

With Richard Hannon saddling the Brocklesby winner at Doncaster last week, most eyes will be on his 88,000gns yearling PERSHAADA.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

TRUST NO ONE has improved for stepping up in trip with a string of consistent efforts after getting off the mark at Newcastle in January and Lemos De Souza's gelding has every chance of getting his head back in front. Magician of Riga is capable of being in the mix following his third over C&D last time, while Caraway is expected to step forward on her handicap bow.

The William Haggas-trained CARAWAY hasn't sparkled yet, but her dam was a Listed winner over 1m5f, and it's still early days for her.

9/2(+50%) | (3) Kullazain 9/2, Bit below best beaten 5l in a handicap here last time; in good form prior; trainer in form; suited by 5/6f, acts on soft, good to soft and AW; return to 7f an interesting move now he's settling better. Won over 6f here (Class 3) over Christmas; free and a beaten favourite twice since; 7f?. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The dual novice winner Elements Of Fire scored at Chelmsford on last month's handicap debut. He remains of interest with the prospect of more to come, but RECENCY BIAS could prove better than his opening mark. The son of Havana Grey romped home by five lengths at Newcastle on his return from a lengthy absence and Karl Burke's charge will be hard to keep out of the finish on that evidence. Willem Twee is preferred of the rest.

Karl Burke's RECENCY BIAS disposed of an odds-on favourite in a Newcastle novice recently, and can make a winning handicap debut.

40/1(-186%) | (8) Crystal Guard 40/1, Never involved, too slow away well beaten in a handicap at Musselburgh latest; effective 12-14f, acts on a sound surface; form has tailed off. No AW win since Jan 2023 (Newcastle, 12.5f); more than enough to prove after layoff. |

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (15/2 +6%)Shabu Shabu |
15/2(+6%) | (6) Shabu Shabu 15/2, Again below form beaten 7l in a handicap at Southwell last time; suited by 12f and a sound surface; just 2lb above last win mark. Won a small-field contest at Yarmouth (11.5f) last August; stamina questionable. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

KAMEEL posted his best effort for some time when upped to 1m2f at Newcastle and finishing a respectable third. Related to a winner over this longer trip, Jessica Macey's charge looks worth chancing off his current mark with further improvement a strong possibility. King's Cruiser and The Craftymaster arrive on the back recent victories and could also have a say in proceedings.

Marco Botti's runner KING'S CRUISER is taken to follow up his recent Chelmsford win. The Craftymaster can be next best.

13/2(-44%) | (2) Rye 13/2, Ran to form beaten 3/4l off this mark at Kempton last time; top course trainer; effective 6/7f, prefers a sound surface; capable maiden. Consistent maiden who's resumed from a break in good form; decent claims at this level. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (14/1 -100%)Rain Cap |
14/1(-100%) | (7) Rain Cap 14/1, Bit keen but hit the line well down in trip beaten 1/2l off a 1lb lower mark here last time; effective 6/7f, has handled soft but sound surface suits best nowadays; can go well if getting decent pace to aim at. Back in form over C&D last time but in a 0-55; that took his record on the AW to 0-17. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

5th (4) (7/2 -56%)Dancing With Drums |
7/2(-56%) | (4) Dancing With Drums 7/2, Further step in right direction when landing a handicap by a head off a 2lb lower mark at Lingfield last time; suited by 6f and AW; taken another small rise and can go well again. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (4/1 +60%)Bullington Bry |
4/1(+60%) | (5) Bullington Bry 4/1, Didn't quite get home back up in trip beaten 3l off a 1lb higher mark at Southwell last time; trainer in form; effective 6-8f, acts on good to firm, good to soft and AW; maiden in fair form on the whole and should be helped by drop to 6f. Won't mind coming back down in trip, minus the cheekpieces, but had plenty of chances now. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

33/1(-32%) | (6) On Key 33/1, Run of race, not far off form beaten 3l off this mark here last time; wide draw; suited by 6f, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; needs more to win off this mark. Made most from stall 11 over C&D last time, but only in a 0-55 and is drawn wide again. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (9/2 +44%)Macarone |
9/2(+44%) | (1) Macarone 9/2, Too keen and didn't get home tried in a visor beaten 9l in a handicap at Chelmsford last time; effective 5-7f, acts on AW; mark easing and capable of going well down in trip. 2lb drop sees this dual C&D last autumn back on a workable mark; each-way claims. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

VON KROLOCK won over 7f here in February and has placed over the same distance in three subsequent starts. James Owen's consistent seven-year-old is not short of pace and looks worth another try over this shorter trip. A prolific winner on the turf, Rain Cap found only one too good over C&D a fortnight ago, while Rye is still searching for that elusive first win after finishing a close third at Kempton.

The market will tell a tale with Dancing With Drums. Otherwise, RYE has run well over C&D a few times off slightly higher marks.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having been freshened up by a change of scenery, MOUNT RUAPEHU could be poised to complete a hat-trick. A 2lb nudge up in the ratings for the six-year-old's latest triumph at Southwell looks more than workable, more so with Jack Nicholls being able to utilise his 5lb claim on this occasion. Forever Noah arrives on the back of a close-up second over C&D and he may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of East Tyrone.

Most of these find winning tough and there's every chance MOUNT RUAPEHU (nap) makes it four from four over 6f on Tapeta.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

He's Our Cracker has improved with each outing in handicap company, culminating in a triumph at Chelmsford last month, and he must enter the reckoning. However, Jennie Candlish's charge is effectively 8lb higher without Freddie Robson's claim, which may leave the door open for THREE ON THURSDAY. The four-year-old has been knocking on the door at this venue of late and compensation could be imminent. Beachborough Girl is the pick of the remainder.

Preference is for the last-time winner HE'S OUR CRACKER, who should be able to confirm superiority over Beachborough Girl.
Ths is the racecard key.
