(3) Pimlico Point 7/2, Low-mileage 7-y-o who ran to a fairly useful level on return/following wind op when staying on for second in a C&D handicap in November. Couldn't build on that when fourth at Ffos Las (23.8f, heavy) at the start of the month but it remains early days at least.
Only fourth at Ffos Las most recently but lost a shoe and he's not discounted today.

Won at Chepstow in December and fair second at Uttoxeter latest; might not be far away.

Top Of The Bill

9/4(-50%)
(1) Top Of The Bill 9/4, Fairly useful over hurdles but already better over fences, improving again to double his tally over C&D 23 days ago, by 7½ lengths from Hurricane Highway. 8 lb higher mark won't prevent another bold bid on that evidence.
Has had plenty in hand over C&D the last twice and this front-runner holds strong claims.

No match for easy winner Top Of The Bill over C&D latest but the testing ground could help.

13:30 Exeter Handicap Chase (Class 3) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

TOP OF THE BILL continues to go from strength to strength and he should be able to uphold form with Hurricane Highway (second) from his most recent success over C&D, despite a 7lb rise for that facile victory. Conditions look to be in his favour once more and it may be that the capable Sporting Ace gives him the most to think about, following a solid runner-up effort at Uttoxeter last month.

TOP OF THE BILL has improved switched to positive tactics over fences, landing back-to-back C&D handicaps with plenty to spare in recent months. He could yet have more to offer and can complete the hat-trick. Hurricane Highway appeals as having a bigger effort in his locker and heads up the dangers.

Topweight TOP OF THE BILL is taken to land a C&D hat-trick, although Hurricane Highway could be a bigger threat this time.

13:54 Sedgefield Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ROCCOS INSPIRATION got off the mark at the first time of asking for this stable when bolting up over 2m at Uttoxeter last month and, stepping up in trip, she is expected to take the gold medal once more. Point-to-point winner Time Was makes her debut for Philip Kirby and is one for the shortlist, while the class-dropping Ragosina should find this company more to her liking after finishing unplaced in a Listed race on her latest outing.

ROCCOS INSPIRATION looks tricky to oppose after making a successful UK debut at Uttoxeter last month. Ragosina is yet to build on the promise of her hurdles bow but still appeals as the danger ahead of Jubilee Girl.

Ragosina is respected but ROCCOS INSPIRATION has more convincing stamina credentials and is taken to dominate from the front.

14:03 Exeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

It is difficult to look past MAD MIKE, who can gain compensation for being demoted to second after passing the post in front at Chepstow on his latest start. The six-year-old should be well suited by going back up in trip and he is preferred to well-bred NH newcomer Milan Ac, who has the services of Harry Cobden to call upon. Another to consider is There's Claude, who wasn't disgraced when fourth at Kempton earlier in the month.

MAD MIKE was much-improved ridden more positively when first past the post (subsequently demoted) at Chepstow 4 weeks ago and he can gain compensation here if in the same sort of form. £60,000-purchase Milan Ac might be the danger.

Having been a totally different proposition when first past the post at Chepstow last month, MAD MIKE is taken to come out on top.

14:10 Lingfield Maiden (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JOLLY JACK TAR displayed plenty of promise when filling third place on his debut over a mile at Kempton recently and the step up in trip could help him to get off the mark. Endosser also holds valid form claims and may improve for a gelding operation since his last appearance, while Attila The Honey is the clear pick of the remainder.

There was a lot to like about JOLLY JACK TAR's opening effort at Kempton last week and he can prove too strong for Endosser in what is likely to develop into a straight fight between the pair.

Endosser sets the standard on form but JOLLY JACK TAR ran a race full of promise at Kempton last week and could improve past him.

14:24 Sedgefield Handicap Chase (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Big Bee Hive kept on well to score over an extended 2m3f here earlier this month, but Sam England's charge has a 7lb rise to shoulder and that will make life tougher for him. With that in mind, preference is for HEEZTHEBOY, who scored readily on his chasing debut over 2m prior to falling two out when holding every chance over an extended 2m3f here last month, and he can make amends for that mishap. Jersay Du Trottet showed encouragement in first-time cheekpieces when fourth last time out and, with the headgear retained on chasing debut, he merits consideration.

BIG BEE HIVE justified support with an improved showing to make a winning chasing debut at this course last time and, with more to come, he's narrowly preferred to Heeztheboy, who has also made a promising start in this sphere. Jersay du Trottet is the pick of the remainder.

Sam England's BIG BEE HIVE made a very pleasing start to his chasing career here a couple of weeks ago and still has more to offer.

14:33 Exeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Runner-up to the same rival the last twice, including over C&D last time, DOLLY DELIGHTFUL remains a lightly-raced mare who is open to plenty of improvement. The six-year-old can get off the mark at the main expense of Chepstow winner Chosen Hero, while Endless Escape is the top-rated of these and warrants respect returning to this sphere after a stint over fences.

DOLLY DELIGHTFUL's future may well lie over further but there's been enough to date to think a race of this nature is within her grasp and in the hope they go a stronger gallop than was the case on her latest outing, she could be the answer on handicap bow. Asian Spice and Endless Escape, back over the smaller obstacles, are others to consider.

Chosen Hero is respected but preference is for ASIAN SPICE, who is 2-2 in handicaps with both of those wins coming over C&D.

14:40 Lingfield Handicap (Class 6) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Baileys Warrior has been knocking hard on the door of late and merits respect once again, but marginal preference is for the unexposed MOLLY MISCHIEF. The daughter of Muhaarar put in a career-best effort when stepped up to 1m6f on her handicap bow and a 1lb rise for that effort may underestimate her. Logistical showed more promise when a close fourth on his most recent outing and completes the shortlist.

MOLLY MISCHIEF was much improved upped markedly in trip when runner-up at Southwell last month and is the obvious choice to go one better given she remains unexposed after just 4 career starts. Baileys Warrior went extremely close to breaking her duck over C&D recently and is regarded as the principal threat.

This looks a good opportunity for the consistent BAILEYS WARRIOR to get off the mark at last. Molly Mischief is feared most.

WHOLEOFTHEMOON showed a good attitude when scoring at huge odds over an extended 2m3f at Doncaster in December, and he proved that was no fluke when finishing second behind a well-handicapped rival at the same course two weeks later. Off an unchanged mark, he gets the nod to go one place better. Thank You Blue has already shown useful form over hurdles and he may give the selection the most to think about on his handicap debut. Halpha Soleil is just 4lb higher than his last winning mark and warrants consideration.

It could be worth rolling the dice with CAILIN DEARG, who hasn't fired in a handful of appearances so far this season but she's been given a real chance by the handicapper. It's likely that Wholeofthemoon will be in the thick of things and he is feared most ahead of Halpha Soleil and handicap-debutant Thank You Blue.

15:05 Exeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Although SPIRITS BAY was held in third when falling at Cheltenham in December, the six-year-old was going to be far from disgraced if completing. Nigel Twiston-Davies' inmate has been given 70 days to get over those exertions and a similar performance should suffice. Ten Lengths Tom has to concede weight all round after justifying favouritism at Uttoxeter but will still be dangerous. Spice Heaven offered more encouragement when fifth over C&D and she can battle it out with Elusiveness for the minor spoils.

SPIRITS BAY sets the bar high so gets a confident vote to build on two promising efforts over hurdles and get off the mark in this sphere. Uttoxeter-winner Ten Lengths Tom appeals as the one to chase home Nigel Twiston-Davies' useful bumper scorer ahead of Spice Heaven.

This is a good opportunity for dual bumper winner SPIRITS BAY, who performed creditably on his first two hurdling starts.

15:15 Lingfield Stakes (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Miss Sligo has hit the frame at this level the last twice, including when she was beaten just over two lengths at Wolverhampton last time, and she can remain competitive. However, preference is for STOPNSEARCH, who just failed to justify favouritism when he finished a neck second over 1m2f here last week and, if he can settle better over this longer trip, he could be the one to beat. Gold Standard is another to note based on his third over this C&D in a class 6 handicap on his penultimate start.

STOPNSEARCH has been knocking on the door over slightly shorter here in recent days and is taken to finally end his long losing run. Last-time-out Wolverhampton 2-3 Sao Timothy and Miss Sligo can give him most to do.

Two good efforts here this month swing the vote marginally in favour of STOPNSEARCH. Second choice is Sao Timothy.

15:30 Sedgefield Handicap Chase (Class 5) 27f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A respectable second in each of his last three starts, it's entirely feasible stepping up in trip while sporting first-time cheekpieces could prompt a little extra from MONAGHAN BOY. The selection has a likable attitude and looks well worth a try over this sterner test of stamina. Elleon is 0-11 over fences so far, but has placed on nine of those occasions, so rate a prime candidate to be on the premises yet again. Don Brocco completes the shortlist.

FORTUITOUS FIND is a winning pointer and his three runs over hurdles probably didn't get to the bottom of him, so he's worth chancing making a quick switch to chasing for his handicap debut. Monaghan Boy arrives in good order and should put up another bold showing, while a return to form is expected from Elleon.

The pick is DON BROCCO, who has slipped to a good mark and ran better than his finishing position suggests at Carlisle recently.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TIMANA made a promising debut for Johnny Murtagh over C&D last month and has since changed hands for 15,000 euros at Goffs. The selection met interference early on but kept on well in the straight when beating all bar Beautiful Dawn (won again since) with Copie Conforme about three lengths back in fourth, and should progress with that experience under her belt. Pepper Noir has filled the runner-up spot twice here this month, while Enniscoffee is another to consider with Colin Keane on board. Prairie Angel, a sister to dual-purpose stablemate Prairie Dancer, and Hasna, by Sea The Stars and from the family of Harzand, are two newcomers to note in the market.

TIMANA made a promising start for Johnny Murtagh here 6 weeks ago and is taken to make a winning start for her new yard despite a wide draw. Pepper Noir and newcomers Prairie Angel and Hasna complete the shortlist.

The 68-rated Pepper Noir has a definite chance but may not cope with TIMANA who should be able to step up from her debut second

15:40 Exeter Handicap Chase (Class 3) 31f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ROBYNDZONE found further improvement for the rise in distance when scoring a fifth chase victory over an extended 3m4f at Haydock in late December. The Frammassone gelding looked better than ever that day and the combination of an extra two furlongs and 7lb rise in the ratings might not be enough to prevent him from going in again. Take Your Time is dangerous to discount on his return to more testing ground conditions and Paul Nicholls' gelding is feared most, ahead of the progressive Track And Trace.

While TAKE YOUR TIME was admittedly disappointing at Wincanton last time, he was a thoroughly decisive winner at the same course on his penultimate start and is well worth another chance off a mark still below that off which he was successful over hurdles. Track And Trace and Robyndzone both coped very well with the step up to marathon trips on their latest outings and are feared most in that order of preference. Mr Vango is also worth a second look.

Stamina is a strong suit for the very lightly raced 8yo MR VANGO and he earns the vote now up in trip on his second chase start.

Enola Grey continues to get closer after she managed a podium finish in a class 4 handicap at Newcastle earlier in the month and she could get into contention off a 1lb lower rating. However, she could come out second best to SHOT OF LOVE, who showed fantastic determination to rally in the final furlong and get back up by a short head over 7f at Chelmsford. He could defy a 4lb rise as he steps back up in trip, while Star Shield finished third in this grade when bidding for a 1m double at Newcastle last month and also has to be considered.

GOLDSMITH has held his form really well during a busy spell this winter and remains of interest after his eye-catching fourth here on Monday. Enola Grey and Wadacre Grace head the dangers.

He can be a hostage to fortune but there should be some pace on and GOLDSMITH can record his third win of his winter campaign.

16:00 Sedgefield Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 27f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DILLARCHIE won with plenty in hand over C&D earlier in the month and is a solid option in her bid to follow up, despite the 7lb higher mark. Breizh Alko hinted at a revival last time and commands respect off 1lb lower than his most recent win over hurdles. Runner-up to the selection last time, Rumble B has a feasible chance of getting closer on the revised terms but will need everything to go his way to turn the form around. Of course, Major Fortune will take all the beating if turning up after completing a four-timer at Lingfield on Thursday.

MAJOR FORTUNE arrives on a roll so is hard to oppose saddling a 7 lb penalty for his ready Lingfield success last time out provided he is none the worse for an intended run at Lingfield on Thursday. Rumble B is weighted to have a say and rates the main danger, with veteran Breizh Alko not discounted either if on his A-game.

The selection is DILLARCHIE, who looked in rude health when winning over C&D recently and has a good 5lb claimer booked today.

16:05 Dundalk Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FINAL VOYAGE should appreciate this step up in trip. The Camacho gelding won three times over an extended mile at Wolverhampton for James Tate and also recorded a valuable success over a mile at Lingfield on Good Friday last year. The selection has been far from disgraced in two outings here this winter including when staying on behind Hodd's Girl and Brains last month and has edged down to an attractive mark. Chavajod recorded a third C&D win when holding off Hightimeyouwon by half a length last month, while Nahori won on debut here over seven just before Christmas in a maiden that has thrown up a number of subsequent winners.

HODD'S GIRL won well here 3 weeks ago and could be good for the follow up after a 5 lb rise. Hightimeyouwon and the unexposed Nahori are a couple of the likely dangers.

Although she didn't beat much on her debut here in December, NAHORI intimated she could have plenty more to offer over this longer trip

16:10 Exeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A very comfortable winner over this trip at Chepstow last month, BELLS OF PETERBORO appeals strongly off just a 4lb higher mark and with ground conditions likely to suit. The unexposed Cedar Row also won with something in hand on his latest start and is dangerous to dismiss, despite a 6lb hike and having an additional couple furlongs to tackle. Previous course winner Chloe's Court is another with a reasonable chance and rates a solid option for at least a place.

CHLOE'S COURT is a likeable sort who goes well at this track and arrives in good order, so she looks the solid option despite her advancing years. Cedar Row was impressive when last seen almost a year ago, so he needs considering despite the absence, while Bells of Peterboro shouldn't be dismissed returning to hurdling.

The step up to a staying trip and return to testing ground could be ideal for the unexposed ROCK DANSE (nap) and he gets the nod.

16:20 Lingfield Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BIG NARSTIE isn't always the easiest of rides but he is more than capable at this level, as evidenced when finishing second to a runaway winner at Wolverhampton six days ago. Turned out quickly and from an unchanged mark, this looks a good opportunity for him to go one better. Kondratiev Wave was outpaced over 7f last time out so the return to 1m ought to suit Tony Carroll's charge, while Flying Panther appeals most of the remainder.

BIG NARSTIE has been in fine form this year, and with his Wolverhampton effort last Saturday easy to put a line through, Mick Appleby's charge is fancied to regain the winning thread in what looks a very weak contest. Hellavapace is another who can have her last run excused so she may emerge as the main danger, with Vitesse du Son and Kondratiev Wave taken to fight out third.

Big Narstie is in good form but the return of a tongue-tie can see FLYING PANTHER (nap) get off the mark for his new connections.

16:33 Sedgefield Handicap Chase (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The fitting of a first-time visor saw a dramatic improvement from TAKE CENTRE STAGE, who made all at Newcastle last week in emphatic fashion. A 7lb penalty looks far from insurmountable for Rebecca Menzies' charge and a quick-fire double looks a distinct possibility. Hide Out switches to fences after a solid second over hurdles here in January. The nine-year-old does have something to prove in this sphere but he's still feared, ahead of Blue Bear.

TAKE CENTRE STAGE was dominant under Brian Hughes at Newcastle recently and, if in a similar mood here, he will take plenty of stopping under a penalty. Secret Plan is open to improvement in this sphere and he is preferred to long-standing maiden Hide Out for forecast purposes.

Everything clicked for Take Centre Stage at Newcastle last week but he's not straightforward and is opposed with SECRET PLAN here.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ORIENTAL DANCER is certainly bred in the purple being by Dubawi and her dam (by Galileo) is an unraced half-sister to French 1,000 Guineas winner Elusive Wave. She went close for Richard Hannon over seven and is worth trying at that trip again after dropping away in the final furlong when well-backed and ridden prominently over a mile earlier this month. The selection has a bit to find with Lauroline on that run and Johnny Murtagh's charge had Charlie Brow'n behind when subsequently runner-up to 66/1 newcomer The Shadow Lingers. Irish Rumour reverts to a maiden after a series of runner-up efforts in handicaps while Local Girl is another consistent filly for the shortlist. Short Change is a newcomer to note with Dylan Browne McMonagle booked.

A good chance for one of the exposed maidens to get off the mark, with LOCAL GIRL chanced in first-time cheekpieces over Irish Rumour and Lauroline.

Likely to be better for a recent run over an inadequate 5f, ALEXANDER JOHN may prove too strong for Lauroline, and Local Girl

16:45 Exeter NH Flat Race (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The two penalised runners, Bill Joyce and JOYAU ALLEN, look the pair to concentrate on, with the latter preferred based on a bloodless C&D success registered on New Year's Day. A full-brother to the high-class Envoi Allen, the selection ticks all the right boxes and is a bright prospect for the Paul Nicholls yard to go to war with. That is not to undermine Bill Joyce's Warwick bumper victory and there could be more to come from Jonjo O'Neill's gelding. Ambion View is the pick of the rest.

This looks a match between BILL JOYCE and Joyau Allen, with Jonjo O'Neill's charge taken to follow up his Warwick victory.

Point winner BILL JOYCE impressed in a bumper at Warwick last month and is taken to maintain his unbeaten record.

16:50 Lingfield Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CONQUEST OF POWER was caught too far back in a steadily-run affair at Chelmsford 22 days ago, but this track should play to his strengths. Mark Usher's four-year-old remains competitively treated judged on past exploits and he is preferred to Swiss Pride, who reached the frame in a stronger C&D event earlier this month. Veteran Sir Titan must hold every chance having been narrowly denied last time, while Intoxicata, who sports first-time cheekpieces, should not be underestimated either.

A few with chances but ISLAND NATIVE has thrived for the move to Mick Appleby and is well worth forgiving his latest Wolverhampton sixth when trapped out wide. He can bounce back in style at the chief expense of the handily-weighted Bernie The Bear, with course scorers Sir Titan and Swiss Pride also firmly in the picture.

It's an open race but the in-form SIR TITAN is marginally preferred to Bernie The Bear and Intoxicata.

16:55 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A few of these arrive in decent form and hold solid claims, so only a tentative vote can go to THE THAMES BOATMAN. The son of Havana Grey has been steadily progressive on artificial surfaces, as emphasised by his narrow Lingfield success in November, and a subsequent 4lb rise might not be enough to halt further improvement. Pop Dancer defeated the selection (fifth) off 2lb lower over C&D in November and must enter the reckoning, while others to note include Star Of Lady M, Gustav Graves and Lihou.

THE THAMES BOATMAN proved well suited by the refitting of a hood when scoring at Lingfield so this C&D winner looks the way to go with the headgear again sported. Gustav Graves is always to be feared round here and is next on the list ahead of in-form pair Star of Lady M and Lihou.

Reigning Profit could return to form but THE THAMES BOATMAN is talented for the grade and can gain his third course win.

17:08 Sedgefield Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Coup De Coeur was disappointing when weakening into fourth over C&D last month, although it's too early to be writing off the six-year-old in what looks a slightly weaker affair. However, it could be worth taking a punt on CALEVADE, who found only subsequent winner El Jefe too strong over track and trip in November. An extended 1m7f at Catterick looked on the sharp side for Ben Haslam's charge subsequently and the Gregorian gelding shades the vote. Handicap-debutant Quaresome completes the shortlist.

C&D winner COUP DE COEUR wasn't seen to best effect when fourth over C&D last time and is taken to bounce back in style here off a 1 lb lower mark. Handicap-debutant Quaresome should find this return to a shorter trip in his favour and is very much one to consider along with the consistent Calevade.

This can go to CALEVADE (nap), who is now 1lb lower than when chasing home a bang-in-form rival over C&D in November.

17:15 Dundalk Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BLUE WOOD won off a similar mark over C&D last spring and may have found a good opportunity to add to his tally if fit enough on his first start for Kevin Smith after a seven-month break. Bucky Larson, whose seven career wins include three here over a mile and who also went close here over seven in December, and Un Bacio Ancora are closely matched on running behind Winemaker last Friday. Pascalia showed some promise on turf including at Gowran last autumn and it will be interesting to see how she copes with this surface, while Sunset Nova recorded his sixth course win this winter and remains on a competitive mark.

Competitive stuff and it's top-weight BUCKY LARSON who gets the tentative nod to come out on top dropping in grade and reunited with Dylan McMonagle. Soyounique made a satisfactory return from 7 months off here last week, so he's put forward as the main danger with that under his belt, while Sunset Nova, Un Bacio Ancora and Pascalia are just a handful of others worth considering, also.

It may be worth taking a chance on SOYOUNIQUE who can be expected to improve from a recent outing

17:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ALMODOVAR DEL RIO bumped into a rejuvenated rival when filling the runner-up spot at Southwell last time and, in a first-time visor, he can shrug off a 2lb rise and go one better. Cobh Harbour was far from disgraced on his handicap bow last month and any improvement would come as no surprise, while similar comments apply to the David Loughnane-trained Dolores Abernathy. Beylerbeyi should not be underestimated either.

BEYLERBEYI needs to channel his energy more efficiently but is potentially very well-treated if doing so and, equipped with a tongue tie, he gets the narrow vote to prove as much. Almodovar del Rio, a good second back from 8 months off at Southwell recently, rates a big danger equipped with a first-time visor. Seattle Time and Major Gatsby are others to consider.

The choice is ALMODOVAR DEL RIO who was only just beaten on his return at Southwell last month and the form has since been boosted.

17:45 Dundalk Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The in-form DAAMBERDIPLOMAT has run just three times on the all-weather and can defy a 5lb higher mark than when winning over C&D in December. A half-brother to the high-class Dragon Pulse, he seems ideally suited by conditions and, being a four-year-old, can progress. Dontspoilasale finished second in that December race and while subsequently well held, today's other rivals Jered Maddox finished fourth, Collective Power seventh and Rough Diamond 11th. Dream Today defeated subsequent winner Inishmot Prince to score over C&D last month and while Inishmot Prince had previously finished fifth to the selection in December, Dream Today holds obvious claims. Musical Tribute finished third to Inishmot Prince a fortnight ago and steps back up in distance, while Laugh A Minute is winless in 11 all-weather starts and returns from a break. Harry's Bar has a tough task under top weight.

ROUGH DIAMOND didn't enjoy the rub of the green when sixth here last time so this C&D scorer is taken to bounce back in style. Fellow C&D winner Collective Power is feared most ahead of in-form duo Musical Tribute and Dream Today.

This looks competitive. DREAM TODAY has a fighting chance of completing a hat trick with the form boosted by Inishmot Prince

18:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 4) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A race which would appear to revolve around the two penalised runners SILENT AGE and Swordstick, with preference afforded to the former. His Kempton success has been franked with the fourth winning since and, given the fact he might be allowed an easy lead, the son of Dubawi could take some pegging back. That said, the latter's Southwell triumph has also worked out well and improvement looks to be on the cards. Meade Gold is most appealing of the remainder.

SILENT AGE is from a good family and looked an exciting prospect when making a successful start at Kempton last month, so he's expected to maintain his unbeaten record at the likely expense of fellow debut winner Swordstick.

This will likely be a straight fight between last month's debut scorers SILENT AGE and Swordstick, with the former preferred.

18:15 Dundalk Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NOBLE CRUSADE has been penalised 10lb for a recent C&D win but should be able to defy it. Rated 81 at his peak in 2021, his mark dropped considerably following poor runs in 2023, but he won very easily from a career-low level nine days ago. His same rider claims 7lb and he should confirm his superiority over the third-placed Gracesolution, despite being 8lb worse off. Hasten Slowly has useful recent form and while suited by the all-weather, has run just once - when finishing sixth last month - over this distance. Maura's Gift is able at this level and is suited by this distance, but doesn't appear ahead of the handicapper.

NOBLE CRUSADE took advantage of a drop in the weights with any amount to spare over C&D 9 days ago and a subsequent hike in the weights may not be enough to prevent a bold follow-up bid. Gracesolution and the selection's stablemate Hasten Slowly head up the dangers, with Special Protector another to keep an eye on returning to the level.

An authoritative C&D winner 9 days ago NOBLE CRUSADE can follow up despite a 10lb rise

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Unbeaten since joining his current yard, Optician is the obvious starting point after three course and distance wins. However, the fact the four-year-old has only gone up 10lb in the handicap indicates those victories came in relatively weak races, which leaves him vulnerable here. VILLAZON is potentially well treated and, with improvement possible, the four-year-old looks worth chancing. City Escape and Restorer are others to consider.

OPTICIAN hasn't looked back since joining Shaun Lycett and a 3 lb rise for his most recent C&D success doesn't look sufficient to prevent him from completing a four-timer. Hill Station didn't enjoy the clearest of runs when fifth at Lingfield last time and is rated next best, with Restorer, City Escape and Optik all in the mix too.

The vote goes to KITTY FOYLE who looks as though she will be suited by the return to this trip and remains unexposed.

18:45 Dundalk Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PALACE ROCK was brought down over hurdles at Leopardstown 19 days ago, but had previously been in good form and is well suited to the all-weather. He is 2lb higher than when finishing second here in January, but today's rider claims an extra 3lb and this distance suits him ideally. Banana Three can confirm his December superiority over Autocrat (in a C&D claimer) despite being 2lb worse off, as he won with authority, although he was disappointing on his recent return following a mini-break. Fascinating Shadow showed some of his old sparkle in that recent race, finishing fifth. Roman Bull is a previous C&D winner who competes from the same mark as when beaten here nine days ago, while Celtic Revival is a five-time C&D winner but now seems in the handicapper's grip. Wrecking Ball Paul is a previous hurdle winner but his best Flat form, including a recent win, is over slightly shorter trips. Garrick Painter is tried in first-time cheekpieces and steps up to this distance for the first time.

CELTIC REVIVAL doesn't always help himself by taking a strong hold but he's consistent all the same and is taken to reverse placings with Palace Rock, who was around two lengths ahead of him here last month but now meets the selection on 2 lb worse terms. The latter is likely to give another good account and may emerge as the main danger ahead of Garrick Painter and Roman Bull.

19:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Bobby Shaftoe needed every yard of the trip when scoring at Newcastle on Tuesday and is a big player over this longer distance under a 5lb penalty. However, both Racing Country and ELOPED won stronger races than that on their most recent starts. The latter is suggested as the more likely of the two to deliver a repeat dose, given her profile over 1m4f looks the more solid.

ENZOS ANGEL is 4 lb 'well-in' under a penalty following his ready success on debut for new yard over 9.5f here last week and, with this step up in trip unlikely to be an issue, he is taken to strike again. Eloped could be the one to follow him home, while Chagall is also shortlisted. Conversely, Bobby Shaftoe and Racing Country both have more on their plates compared to when scoring last time out.

It may be worth siding with MORLAIX who has dropped 10lb below his last winning mark and is 1-1 in Class 6 handicaps.

19:15 Dundalk Handicap 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The form of WESTERN CITY's maiden win last month is unexciting but he should improve from that experience, is well bred, and could be suited by this extra distance. A brother to an American Grade 2 winner, he again wears a tongue-tie and while he concedes plenty of weight, he is far less exposed than his rivals. Special Angel is closely matched with Signor Ferrari on their meeting here over 7f in December, although she then seemed to improve significantly when finishing second over a mile. Gesture ran well in a recent Southwell maiden but steps up in distance on handicap debut, while Dont Do Dramas' best form from last year was on testing ground and he reappears following 116 days off.

WESTERN CITY made a winning start at this course and he's bred to be suited by the step up in trip, so he's a confident choice to maintain his unbeaten record making a quick switch to handicaps. Special Angel looks the chief threat on the back of a good second and Gesture isn't without hope.

Recent debut maiden winner should relish this trip and can follow up on handicap debut

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The dual-purpose BELLA BLUESKY was a surprise winner over 1m4f at Southwell at the start of this month, but proved there was no fluke about it when following up over the same trip here 11 days ago. With her stamina proven from her exploits over hurdles, the Ewan Whillans-trained mare is a strong fancy to go in again under a 4lb penalty. Virtual Hug is feared most, with Crystal Guard considered for a place from a handy current mark.

BELLA BLUESKY hasn't had much racing on the Flat and has looked progressive since upped in trip, so she's preferred to fellow last-time-out winner Virtual Hug. Lawmans Blis made a positive start for a new stable last time, so he can also feature under another positive ride.

Although BELLA BLUESKY (nap) has come to the Flat late in her career, she's taken very well to it and looks good for a quick hat-trick.

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

AMANCIO looked set to open his account at Lingfield earlier this month but was caught in the shadows of the post. A 1lb rise in the ratings looks more than workable and Jack Channon's gelding is sure to be scoring sooner rather than later. Fellow in-form rival Old Chums will need to break better if he aspires to make all as he did at Southwell on his penultimate outing, which is more than possible. The Kodiac gelding isn't taken lightly, while Rothay Park makes most appeal of the remaining protagonists.

QUANTUM FORCE showed ability last season and, with blinkers fitted after a gelding operation, he's the sort to take a big step forward now switched to handicaps, so he's narrowly preferred to Thunder Flow, who boasts a progressive profile. Amancio looks a solid option but he's more exposed than the aforementioned pair.

Some interesting handicap newcomers on show but AMANCIO and Rothay Park have already shown they're on competitive marks.

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Masqool's willing attitude saw him complete a Lingfield double recently and James Evans' gelding should give another good account. However, the combination of a quick turnaround and 5lb penalty may prove to be his undoing, with DEMBE shading the verdict. The son of Garswood didn't enjoy the smoothest of passages over C&D earlier this month, where he was subsequently promoted to third, and he looks ready to land a race of this nature. It's too early to be writing Endless Power off and the four-year-old must enter calculations as well.

The vote goes to DEMBE, who was badly hampered at a crucial stage over C&D earlier this month and he makes plenty of appeal off the same mark. Masqool is bidding for the hat-trick and he may emerge as the main danger, while Johnny Boom and Ludo's Landing are live each-way contenders.

Brett Johnson's DEMBE likely would have gone close here last time but for meeting trouble and can build on that promise.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
