7th (11) Ecu Du Levant | 9 | Th Huchede | N Jaulneau | Monte horse here for a change of scenery and has no realistic chance
9th (9) First De Piencourt | 8 | Mme P Cavanie | Mme Cavanie | Pleased on comeback but well beaten in next three and will have few takers
10th (12) Et Maintenant | 9 | Mlle P Gaulier | C H Fairand | Placed once in 7 last season and no chance on first start for 12 months
8th (7) Folia Du Glanon | 8 | G Rochna Dumont | F Lamare | Has shown more this year when racing shod. Pleased last time and in similar form will have her chances
5th (8) Georky De Morgane | 7 | F Touchard | G L Peltier | Tends to show better aptitude for the other discipline and chances slim at best
6th (6) Get Ready | 7 | F Chapdelaine | G Beaufils | Rarely gets his nose in front but seldom disappoints in this class and can make the first five
2nd (2) Hasta Luego Phedo | 6 | S Gilles | H Touvais | Previously a good sort but went off the boil last autumn and no sign of an imminent return to form
1st (10) Gucci De Barb | 7 | E Berthomier-Charles | P H Daugeard | Consistently gives everything he has. Raced in 1aEUR (tm)13aEUR (tm)aEUR (tm)9 here late last year and should logically figure prominently
4th (5) Hypothese Forgan | 6 | S Laboutique | David Lefevre | Blows hot and cold but impressed at Saint-Omer and from the front line can put her Mons performance behind her
3rd (4) Henry Douzou | 6 | J Ph Bazire | C H Petrement | Quality element making first appearance in this category. Imposed well at Le Touquet and is not incapable of opening his amateur account
(1) Hatos Du Pommereux | 6 | Mme Audrey Menager | A Menager | Less sharp in last three after winning late April but returns to preferred shoeing configuration and must be respected
(3) Gasby Du Fer | 7 | Mme B Guenet | N Jaulneau | Considerably better than recent form would suggest. Dips back down to a level at which he has solid credentials and on form can impose |
GASBY DU FER (3) may not quite have found his mark this term but on a good day he's a tough campaigner. Breaking from the front, he should be able to win a race of this nature but still faces opposition from HYPOTHESE FORGAN (5) who will be dangerous if she reproduces her Saint-Omer performance. GUCCI DE BARB (10) is confirmed here and even though 25m worse off, he is in good enough shape to get in on the action. FOLIA DU GLANON (7) left a decent impression last time out and with shoes back on c

3rd (3) Kador De Sevre | 3 | P Ph Ploquin | A Grimault | Moderate sort that quickly lost his action at Nantes and even with application will have too much to do
7th (5) Ketmie Princesse | 3 | P Blanchon | S Roger | Unexceptional filly that has made no impact in this category and even with pads fitted can be ruled out
5th (9) Kibrille Montaval | 3 | A Rebeche | S T Meunier | Has raced solidly to date. Unlikely to make a big splash here but should nevertheless give an honourable account
4th (12) Kurapika Du Pont | 3 | G Marin | G Marin | Decent sort that has done nothing but improve. Unlucky at Nantes and can more than make amends
1st (11) Kelina Josselyn | 3 | P Vercruysse | T Malmqvist | Useful filly that trotted 1aEUR (tm)14aEUR (tm)aEUR (tm)6 at Vincennes last month and a similar effort would see her get that maiden monkey off her back
2nd (7) Kopeck De Chenu | 3 | B Rochard | J M Baudouin | Improving colt that showed a good turn of foot to trot 2nd to KSAR VRIE (6) at Vichy and can again go close if he turns
6th (2) Kathleen D'Ecotay | 3 | Theo Duvaldestin | T H Duvaldestin | Won on debut but unlucky to lose her action when going well at Laval recently. On better behaviour can play a role
(1) Kajagoogoo | 3 | R Derieux | Leo Abrivard | Solid on debut earlier in the year but rather disappointing since and unlikely to shake things up
(4) Kingston Du Gosier | 3 | A Collette | C Herserant | Non-Runner
(6) Ksar Vrie | 3 | A Lamy | L Baudron | Impressive winner on debut at Vichy recently. Is untried racing left-handed but looks the sort that should appreciate Chartres and can double his money
(8) Kaporal Kadesh | 3 | L J Legros | N Binet | Sanctioned more often than not but won nicely at Cherbourg recently and should again finish in the mix
(10) Kiss Me To Live | 3 | Ch Lancelin | D Lecroq | Opened her account mid-March but has struggled since being stepped up in class and chances limited |
Although yet to get off the mark, KELINA JOSSELYN (11) has nevertheless shown a lot of potential and if she takes to the Chartres profile, she should be in a position to lose her maiden tag. Principal danger is expected to come from KSAR VRIE (6) who opened his account three weeks ago at the first time of asking, and the tricky KAPORAL KADESH (8) who got off the mark at Cherbourg last month. KOPECK DE CHENU (7) will figure prominently if he can handle going left-handed.

3rd (9) Joker Darling | 4 | P Vercruysse | C H Eriksson | Has merit but as tricky as they get and will not be easy to trust
4th (4) Junior Du Vivier | 4 | A De Jesus | A De Jesus | Yet to get off the mark but has never finished worse than 4th. That said, he has not been seen out since December and will need the run
2nd (2) Justin Des Marais | 4 | P Ph Ploquin | S Roger | Erratic but returned to winning ways last time out. Comes here fresh and even though in better company should not be ignored
1st (3) Just Built | 4 | E Allard | E Allard | A model of consistency and has never disappointed here. Is not incapable of winning this time and will justifiably garner significant support
(1) Jirobello | 4 | D Czerwinski | J A Hernandez-Navarro | Blows hot and cold and better chance at a lower level. Disregard
(5) Junior Du Cherisay | 4 | Ph Perret | D Delaroche | Has gradually improved since his March comeback. First time unshod behind but still not an obvious choice
(6) Jungle Cruise | 4 | A Lamy | P Levesque | Showed significant ability last season. Sanctioned on comeback but has had time to freshen up and should not be underestimated
(7) Junior Steed | 4 | R Derieux | R Derieux | Capable type that always gives his best. Shod more competitively this time and after a fine comeback can open his seasonal account
(8) Jack Russell | 4 | A Rebeche | S T Meunier | Has done nothing but improve since returning to competition this season. In better company this time but should still acquit himself honestly
(10) Jag Lucaxelo | 4 | B Rochard | Lucas Labbe | Useful sort that regularly finishes in the thick of things and with just hind shoes off this time can make the frame
(11) Joyce Cauvelliere | 4 | P Danet | P Danet | Showed potential last season but disappointing on the whole this term and will have few friends
(12) Jerry Du Loisir | 4 | A Collette | V Seguin | Quality element that has raced better lately. Just front pads fitted this time and looks a serious player |
A plethora of decent chances in this line-up but it is still tempting to opt for JERRY DU LOISIR (12) who has turned a corner since starting to race unshod, and the Chartres profile should suit him to a tee. JUNIOR STEED (7) though is also an attractive proposition given how well he acquitted himself here late April and with hind shoes off this time looks a sharper prospect. JUST BUILT (3) has hardly stepped a foot wrong this term and has shown a liking for the venue. JAG LUCAXELO (10) is still

1st (2) Houston Rocket | 6 | Mme Clea Roger | J Condette | Regular for the most part when applied. Sanctioned in last two but is shod for competition and on good behaviour can get a look in
2nd (5) Hadrien Merite | 6 | M Champenois | N Bridault | Kicked the year off decently but below-par in last two and needs to reaffirm
4th (3) Garou Beji | 7 | A Defortescu | G Beaufils | Just one win in 49 starts but always does his best and latest effort augurs well for his chances
3rd (11) Haliza | 6 | Mlle C Jary | M Sassier | Debuted pleasantly under the saddle last month but takes on some experienced horses this time and the 2nd line start does her no favours
(1) Hamlet De L'Iton | 6 | Mlle A Poulain | Hughes Levesque | Twice a winner from three starts under the saddle. Steps marginally up in category but from the front line still looks a major player
(4) Irose Speed | 5 | Mewenn Bourlier | P Lelievre | Found her way at Laval earlier in the season. Returns to the provinces in more suitable company and can confirm
(6) Gelino De Mars | 7 | Mlle Sabrina Chene | O Chene | Erratic type that showed moderate progress last week but still has more to find
(7) Impacts Ludois | 5 | W Dersoir-Habib | S Bourlier | Faithful servant in this branch of the business. Opened his monte account last week and must be taken seriously
(8) Hiris De Piencourt | 6 | Mlle E Croisic | S T Meunier | Still somewhat capricious but has ample ability. Is clearly in good shape and even from the 2nd line has every chance of trotting her way onto the podium
(9) Heros De Marzy | 6 | Mlle S Auvrai | B R Plaire | Tricky character but regularly in the mix when applied and can play a role if he gets off on the right foot
(10) Hogan De Houelle | 6 | Mlle H Godey | F Leblanc | Dangerous when applied but disappointing so far this season and needs to show marked improvement |
IROSE SPEED (4) briefly lost her way earlier in the year but found form again at Laval. She comes here fresh after biting off more than she could chew in Paris but at this level will be no soft touch. HAMLET DE L'ITON (1), however, boasts an enviable strike-rate in the discipline and even though in slightly better company this time still looks a serious proposition. When applied, HIRIS DE PIENCOURT (8) is a model of consistency and although she and recent winner, IMPACTS LUDOIS (7), find themsel

3rd (8) Indy De La Fye | 5 | Ph Daugeard | P H Daugeard | Decent type that caught the eye on re-entry 6 days ago. Steps up in class though and a minor place chance at best
4th (4) Illustre Sax | 5 | P Ph Ploquin | C H Hamel | Hardy sort that returned to winning ways a fortnight ago and in similar form can give ISLAND STAR (12) a run for his money
1st (10) Invictum Du Noyer | 5 | R Derieux | R Derieux | Barring the occasional blip is a good, consistent campaigner. Has taken no time getting back in shape and his latest Chartres run augurs well for his chances
2nd (12) Island Star | 5 | H Monthule | S Guarato | Makes her Chartres debut off the back of three straight wins. Incurs the penalty but still looks the horse to beat
(1) Idesia D'Angely | 5 | D Bertrand | A Rigo | Useful mare that pleased on only appearance at the venue but unraced since January
(2) Iva Royale | 5 | P Vercruysse | P H Daugeard | Solid on her only appearance here but sanctioned in both since her return and will not be easy to trust
(3) Indie Bakalaika | 5 | M J Barcelo Bisquerra | A Rigo | 4th to ISLAND STAR (12) last time out after having won at Le Croise Laroche. Starts in front and will not be far from the action
(5) Icare De Val | 5 | A Lamy | P Mary | Can prove tricky but otherwise very hard to fault. In the frame in both starts this term and is not incapable of upsetting the apple cart
(6) Icare De Vouede | 5 | A Lavielle | D Brohier | Consistently gives everything he has but has never excelled here and unlikely to spring any surprises
(7) Intentionally | 0 | B Rochard | M Sassier | Dependability not her strong suit but capable on a good day and will have her supporters
(9) Ivana De Bertrange | 5 | B Marie | B Marie | Undeniably able but has totally lost her way this term and must get her house in order
(11) Iromee | 5 | P Blanchon | S Roger | Alternates the good with the less good but stays shod and has other priorities |
Even though it is never an easy thing to give away distance at Chartres, it is hard to see ISLAND STAR (12) being beaten after having secured three solid victories in succession. She is unlikely to have it entirely all her own way though with the better-positioned ILLUSTRE SAX (4) recently having found his form. INVICTUM DU NOYER (10) caught the eye here on his last start and should again be competitive, as should the in-form INDIE BAKALAIKA (3) who has shown considerable improvement lately.

2nd (2) Henriett D'Aurcy | 6 | B Marie | G Champenois | Not the most dependable but can trot and a repeat of her latest effort would see her get a look in
3rd (5) Havane Au Vent | 6 | Y Roblot | S Pillon | Returned to winning ways mid-April but oddly out of luck at Graignes. Gave a fine account on lone start here though and can make amends
4th (10) Happy Danover | 6 | J Travers | S T Provoost | Useful sort that seldom disappoints when applied. Is confirmed here and looks eminently capable of making the frame
1st (8) Hoscotte De Maupas | 6 | A Collette | F Andrieu | Jumps out of the amateur category for a crack at this trophy and, given the distance advantage and current condition, looks a threat to HURON (11)
(1) Highlander | 6 | A Lamy | M Varin | Complicated type that looked to be on the way back up but below-par at Saint-Malo and a minor place chance at best
(3) Gigolo Pan | 7 | G Celis | R Waernier | Moderate sort that has raced respectably this term but at this level will have too much to do
(4) Hanack De Vivoin | 6 | R Derieux | J J Beausse | Got back in the game at Grenade last month and with form maintained should not be far off the mark
(6) Happyday Verdieres | 6 | Ph Daugeard | P H Daugeard | Appears to be back on the right road but takes on better this time and will struggle to make his mark
(7) Hatout De Connee | 6 | B Rochard | K Busnel | Has found his form after a couple of comeback starts and with stride in check can trot his way into the money
(9) Hunadora | 6 | P Ph Ploquin | N Delamarre | By no means the worst horse here but sanctioned in both starts following a long layoff and will have few friends
(11) Huron | 6 | A Laurent | A Laurent | Excellent servant with nothing to prove in this category and the nature of his Amiens victory augurs well for his chances of repeating
(12) Hikka | 6 | L Aube | P Corniere | By now has a future in the other discipline and will not be given a hard race
(13) Gloss Fouteau | 7 | A Dreux | A Dreux | Lost his way at the end of last season and has picked up where he left off |
After just the one re-entry race, HURON (11) has been in excellent shape since and even though on the second line, he still looks good enough to confirm his Amiens victory. That said, HOSCOTTE DE MAUPAS (8) is as consistent as they come and with a 25m head-start will bid to end her streak of second places. HAPPY DANOVER (10) left a fine impression here last month and can make the frame this time. Recent winner in the provinces, HANACK DE VIVOIN (4) is another for the shortlist.

11th (2) Folco's Blues | 8 | B Marie | B Marie | Totally out of the picture since placing at Saint-Omer mid-April and poses no danger
8th (3) Egerie Des Josco | 9 | A Collette | F Joseph | Moderate mare with better prospects at a much lower level and will have too much to do
10th (10) First De Tess | 8 | P Ph Ploquin | A Grimault | Recently returned after a long absence through injury. Left a good impression at Vincennes last time and if on the same trajectory can give this a good go
7th (4) Gamin Du Lerre | 7 | Ph Daugeard | L Guillemin | Useful sort but lost his way earlier in the year and must reaffirm
9th (6) Ethan Drive | 9 | A Lamy | F Terry | Tricky sort but tends to perform better in the amateur category and a minor place chance at best
4th (8) Gatsby | 7 | P Vercruysse | K Leblanc | Unremarkable type that rarely makes his presence felt and is not about to break the mould
6th (5) Frisson Du Quesne | 8 | Loris Bizoux | O Bizoux | Decent trotter that won in good order last time out and with form maintained can apply the pressure on FEUX VERTS (7)
3rd (9) General D'Amour | 7 | R Derieux | J J Beausse | Fine sort that is rarely out of the first four these days. Hit the target at Saint-Omer last weekend and while unlikely to repeat should still finish in the mix
1st (7) Feux Verts | 8 | H Monthule | D Brohier | Back in business following an enforced and lengthy layoff. Still has a lot of improvement in him and can impose this time
5th (11) Filou Smiling | 8 | J Travers | S T Provoost | Has been enjoying a solid run of form over recent weeks. Is confirmed at the venue and even from the 2nd line can figure prominently
2nd (1) Giant Madrik | 7 | B Rochard | D Stoehr | Reliable trotter that seldom lets the side down. Steps back up in class following his amateur sanction but can set the record straight |
A fairly homogenous group this but a tentative nod still goes to FEUX VERTS (7) who has made fine progress since returning from his extended layoff. Hugues Monthule will want to be wary of the hardy FRISSON DU QUESNE (5) who set a personal best when winning at La Capelle last month, and the faithful GIANT MADRIK (1) who seldom puts a foot out of place. Very adept on these tighter circuits, FILOU SMILING (11) is one not to be ignored.

3rd (5) Flamme De Pourprix | 8 | Mme C E Lemaire | P Danet | Got back down to business at Lisieux ten days ago and while arguably better racing clockwise should still not be ignored
1st (6) G.R.J.'s Wolverine | 9 | J Carre | J S Eriksson | Remarkably consistent Scandinavian raider making first appearance in France. Unlikely to pull off the 6-timer but should still acquit himself competitively
4th (8) Hevalone De Guez | 6 | B Rochard | P Y Rochard | Winner of both monte starts so far. Is in his category and has every chance of making it three on the trot
2nd (1) Huis Clos | 6 | Mme C Levesque | P Levesque | Second serious Swedish trotter from the Levesque family. Opened his 2023 account last time out and returns fresh and with legitimate ambition
(2) Beautiful Boy | 6 | A Collette | Vitale Ciotola | Regularly a tricky character but has merit and can play a role if he stays in stride
(3) Forjet Vogouliere | 8 | Mlle H Godey | F Leblanc | Never the easiest of trotters to handle but won over course and distance last month and with application can give this another good go
(4) Made Of Stars | 7 | A Voisin | J Westholm | Raider from the nordics with form to back him up but has struggled since coming to France and must get his house in order
(7) Hugo Occagnes | 6 | P Ph Ploquin | P Monthule | Regularly in the thick of things but below-par in last two. Returns to racing left-handed though and can begin to redeem himself
(9) Gamay | 7 | Mlle E Callier | R Derieux | Can prove a handful but has won two of last three monte starts. faulted behind FORJET VOGOULIERE (3) last time when full of running but can make amends
(10) Good Vibrations | 7 | Andrea Roussel | A Desmottes | Not always the most dependable but useful on a hard surface. Is evidently in form and should not be far off the mark
(11) Ornello | 7 | A Lamy | T H Levesque | Quality Swedish import that has taken well to French conditions. Benefits from a superb entry and looks principal threat to HEVALONE DE GUEZ (8) |
Switching codes late April has paid dividends for trainer Pierre-Yves Rochard whose HEVALONE DE GUEZ (8) has won both starts to date and who looks eminently capable of pulling off the three-timer. She can still expect to encounter resistance from the Levesque pair of ORNELLO (GER) (11) who has been in flying form since coming to France, and recent Cholet winner, HUIS CLOS (SWE) (1) who races barefoot for the occasion. Unplaced at Rambouillet, GOOD VIBRATIONS (10) returns to the sand and should l
